A HOUSEWIFE of Kabangwe Township has begged the Matero Local Court to dissolve her one-year marriage, saying her husband refuses to shave her pubic hair.

Theresa Kabwe, 28, told the Matero Local Court that her husband Mathews Bwalya, 35, is also an irresponsible father who does not care about the welfare of their child. Bride price was not paid.

“My husband’s likes beating me every time I ask him if we can go and bath together; I just don’t know what he has been hiding from me, because I believe that a couple must know each other inside out.

“Sometimes I would go down my knees just for us to have sex. I feel like my conjugal rights are violated,” she complained.

She added that Bwalya was also in the habit of using abusive language and calling her a prostitute even in the presence of her neighbours.

But Bwalya told the court that Theresa is fond of sleeping with small boys in his area adding that is the main reason he stopped sleeping with her.

“I was tipped by my friends that my wife likes sleeping with small boys when I go for work. She also likes telling her friends that I’m weak in bed; can you imagine that,” Bwalya complained.

Bwalya also said that his wife was fond of watching pornography. “I’ve been telling my partner to stop watching these addictive pictures online but I think she can’t change.

“I understand her feelings but I told her to exercise a bit of patience because these days I am not in the moody of sleeping with her.

Passing judgement, the court dismissed claim for divorce because the two have been provoking each other.

  1. What’s wrong with our traditions kanshi? How do adults go to court to talk shaving each other. At 28 & 35 you would expect these people to be above this primitive pettiness.
But then again isn’t that place just across from shaka’s kraal?

I can’t stop laughing. Firstly I am not sure if such a story was even worth any publicity! Secondly local courts are mostly a circus as they look for the most flimsy excuses to make a judgment. Just think about the part that says … “you have been provoking each other”
