Nkana in injury setbacks

Share

Nkana have injury setbacks heading into their top two 2016 FAZ Super Division Week 6 clash against Nchanga Rangers on Saturday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

In-form Nkana will be without defenders Joseph Musonda and Diego Apanane.

Musonda sustained an injury in training prior to this match while Apanane remains sidelined since Nkana’s 1-0 home win over Kabwe Warriors on April 6.

However, the pressure has been eased with Christopher Munthali heading into his second game for the side after serving his two month suspension following his initial illegal transfer from Power Dynamos to Nkana.

Munthali first game was last Sunday in Nkana’s 1-1 away draw at promoted Lusaka Tigers.

Meanwhile, that draw also ended Nkana’s 100 per cent start to the 2016 FAZ Super Division season after picking up four straight wins since the start of the campaign.

Nkana’s lead was cut from five to four points ahead of second placed Nchanga on 13 and 9 points respectively.

“We have forgotten about that result at Tigers,” Nkana coach Aggrey Chiyangi said.

“We must win against Nchanga Rangers and we know they are doing very fine also at the moment but we have told ourselves that we must get three points.”

Nchanga on the other hand are unbeaten in their last two games as they prepare to for their away date against Nkana and as Bruce Mwape goes in search of his fourth victory from five games in charge.
