Nkana visit Buffaloes

Share

FAZLogoThe FAZ Super Division enters week 9 with leaders Nkana hoping it will be business as usual after an eventful week of firing and hiring.

Unbeaten Nkana, who have led the campaign since the season kicked off on March 12, travel to Lusaka to face Green Buffaloes on Saturday.

Nkana enjoy a three point lead over defending champions Zesco United who lie second on the log on 19 and 16 points respectively.

Nkana take on Buffaloes who are eyeing their second Kitwe victim after they gored Power Dynamos 2-1 last Saturday.

Buffaloes win was also Tennant Chilumba last game as Power coach who was subsequently fired on Thursday despite early indications that this weekends home match against Nkwazi would be his Judgement Day.

Power have failed to impress in the league this season and lie 8th on 10 points after a promising start when they won the 2016 Charity Shield-Chilumba’s first and last silverware from his just-ended three-and-half-year reign.

Anderson Phiri takes over as interim Power coach in Saturdays home game against 3rd placed Nkwazi in Kitwe.

Meanwhile, Zesco are away to face promoted Kabwe Warriors.

Unbeaten Zesco are hoping to rebound after Wednesday’s 1-1 home draw with first-timers Lumwana Radiant who ended the 2015 champions 100 percent start to the season when they halted the Ndola sides’ five match winning run.

Two other teams will be under new management.

Napsa Stars will be led by Harry Milanzi for their game against Lusaka Tigers following Wilson Mwale’s sacking.

Forest Rangers too are reportedly under the helm of Nakambala coach Patrick Phiri after Kaunda Simonda was fired this week.

The Ndola side is in Choma to play Green Eagles.

And at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka, Lusaka Dynamos host Mufulira Wanderers.

  1. We have not managed to collect three (3) points but still leading the table with two (2) points and i believe we will make it to the club which has no coach next game.
