FAZ Division One Zone 2 side Mining Rangers have hailed the performance of head coach Linos Makwaza.

Club general secretary Sydney Chalawila said Makwaza has managed to stabilise Mining in the 10 months he has been in charge.

Makwaza, a former Nkana coach, helped the Kitwe side to maintain its Division One status last season.

“Coach Linos has done a tremendous job since we engaged him to help us survive relegation last year in July,” Chalawila said.

“He is an experienced coach who has been in football for a long time and he understands the game, ” he said.

And Mining have appealed to the corporate world for sponsorship.

“We are appealing for sponsorship from the corporate world. Our players are doing well despite the team facing financial challenges. We should not be neglected,” Chalawila said.
The club has two wins and two draws in the first four games.

Mining at the weekend recorded their second win of the season after beating Roan United 2-1 away at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.
