The Patriotic Front(PF) has said that the UPND is misleading itself by suggesting that the ruling party will lose this year’s election.
PF Deputy Spokesperson, Frank Bwalya said that President Edgar Lungu and the PF will win the election.
Mr. Bwalya said that PF is more united and ready to deliver victory and defend late President Michael Sata’s legacy.
He was speaking to journalists in Lusaka today.
Mr. Bwalya said that a claim that the current leadership of the party has abandoned Mr. Sata’s legacy is baseless because President Lungu has continued with all the development projects.
He said those that have left PF and joined UPND are the ones who have abandoned Mr. Sata’s Legacy.
But UPND Deputy Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says his party will not be dragged into arguments with Mr. Bwalya.
Mr. Mweetwa says the UPND will remain focused ahead of the August 11th general election and will not concentrate on cheap politicking.

@Mailon, true, sometime the truth needs to be brought out as crude as it may be. UPND was always complaining why Mulenga Sata had become so rich all of a sudden. What beats me is how this once-corrupt person should become a gem to the UPND. Even if they say ‘politics is about numbers’ there is an aspect of morality that needs to be maintained here. One wonders were the strain of anti-intellectualism came from? In life, ignorance is not a virtue – period. When our leaders express a disdain for facts; when they are not held accountable for repeating false hoods; and just making stuff up; while actual experts are dismissed as elitists, then we have a problem. The rejection of facts, the rejection of reason and science – that is a sure path to decline and destruction.
