Suspected UPND Cadres have allegedly battered a Kitwe Police officer who was manning a road block near Moba hotel in Kitwe.
AND police in Kitwe have arrested 12 UNPD Cadres for unlawful procession and causing a breach of peace.
The incident happened immediately after UPND Vice President for administration Geofrey Mwamba was released on bond.
The 12 were part of the cadres who had thronged Kitwe magistrate court to attend the court case for Mr Mwamba.
Copperbelt Police Chief Charity Katanga says the cadres immediately after the court case decided to drive to moba hotel at blocking the main road into and out of Kitwe.
Mrs. Katanga said police moved in to try and control the traffic jam but they were attacked by the cadres.
She said in the process three UPND cadres were injured and police managed to apprehend 12 but three of them managed to escape from lawful custody at Nkana east Police post.
Mrs. Katanga added that the cadres later pounced on the traffic police officer who was manning a road block near moba hotel leaving him with injuries.

The way things are now UPND is in the majority, so even if PF unlished their cadres and UPND decides to counter that, surely PF would be overrun. Now the BIG QUESTION IS! who are PF cadres and UPND cadres? ZAMBIAN? Lets be serious, this is our country, PEACE MUST BE OUR NATURE!
HH is slowly losing. Why has UPND suddenly turned to hooliganism? I strongly feel GBM is a negative force in UPND. Where are the other big guys, the radicals who have strugled for the party in the past gone to? HH is losing!

I have no pity for the PF police. They have failed to maintain law and order for everyone. If UPND are now defending themselves & beating the u-se-less- PF police, then let them also feel the pain. I am not an advocate for beating the police but the PF police have gone too far in their mistreatment of the opposition and especially GBM and deserve the beating because we no longer have a Zambian police service.

Copperbelt police commissioner always causes confusion with her police wherever she is assigned. Instead of using the police professionally , she uses them as pf coders, what follows is confusion. I now get it why other senior officers complain about her . $he is a disaster I would rest her from the job. Zambia is not a war zone madam commissioner. You need a different policing strategy embracing community not hooligan policing.

UPND has shown its true colours! Can one vote for such characters? People of Zambia, wake up if we make a mistake to elect this buffoons, the blame will be ours! Surely this party is known for hooliganism, fighting and insulting. Given chance to be in power will mean something else for Zambia that is known for peace. A true Zambian who has Zambia at heart cannot support such barbaric behaviour that is unfolding in UPND. Mainly youths are being used to tear Zambia apart, a situation that is regrettable!
