The ruling PF says it cannot stop its female supporters from wearing sexy regalia as campaigns for this August’s election hots up.

PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri said Zambia does not have a prescribed dress code and it would be unfair to ask the PF women to stop wearing their sexy regalia.

Mrs Phiri said everyone in Zambia is free to wear whatever he or she feels like because Zambia is a free country.

She was responding to attacks that the PF has continued using women as sexy symbols by asking them to wear revealing clothing with PF symbols splashed on them.

But Mrs Phiri said even the UPND women are also wearing sexy regalia such as leggings and body tops.

She said it is unfair for some members of the public to attack the PF over the sexualisation of its campaigns saying there is nothing wrong with women appearing sexy as they campaign.

    • These at will sexy outfits are certainly better than those UPND women made to match along our roads naked with only underwear without anything to cover their puffed brests on independence road. They have been doing that many times more during the Sata reign while calling him Ukwa. Can the media rerun those pictures please I have files to share.

    • We can not stop them from flashing their sexy behinds –

especially after being given a ZMK500 inducement each.

Zambia as a Christian nation does indeed have a dress code –

      dress for political survival

even if it does not get any of the desired results.

    • Dora Siliya formula of undressing, campaigning in petticoats and braless didn’t work for MMD.
I don’t think the PF Running Mate the so-called “Mother-of-the Nation” would enjoy to have those nikaless PF girls in front of her podium.

    • If dressing like that is okay, why didn’t Chakolwa’s little biatch, Tasila, dress like that? She enjoys the benefits of being PF every minute of the day with the expensive vehicles and security around the clock. Why only parade poor girls?

    • LUNGU AND PF ARE A FAILED PROJECT. PLASE FELLOW ZAMBIANS DON’T VOTE FOR LUNGU ON 11 AUGUST. THESE GUYS IN PF HAVE BEEN PRETENDING TO BE LEADING THE COUNTRY, BUT REALITY IS THAT LUNGU AND HIS MINIONS HAVE BEEN OCCUPYING POLITICAL POSITIONS MAINLY TO SERVE THEMSELVES. ALL THE EURO BONDS AND OTHER BORROWED MONEY HAS BEEN SHARED AMONG-ST THEMSELVES. GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN RECORDING SERIOUS MISMANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC FUNDS, MEANING THEY HAVE BEEN STEALING PUBLIC MONEY WHICH WAS MEANT TO IMPROVE SUPPLY OF MEDICINES IN HOSPITALS, IMPROVE ACQUISITION OF TEXT BOOKS FOR STUDENTS IN INSTITUTIONS OF LEARNING, IMPROVE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE, ETC. CHAKOLWA LUNGU HAS BEEN SLEEPING ON DUTY. WE CAN’T HAVE HIM ANY LONGER. THIS WILL BE A HIGHLY RISKY MOVE FOR ZAMBIA. VIVA HH VIVA!

    • Well said Mumbi. Only bigots can believes in “prescribed” dressing for others. Any person, male or female should feel free to wear whatever they deem good for them. We are not in the Victorian age for god`s sake. Leave women oppression through dressing to the Arabs. Just because banokokulu wears umukanso doesnt mean everyone should. Long live freedom of expression through dressing!!

    • “For those that have not seen cluelessness in its physical form, just look at Essau Chulu and you would have seen it all,” Mr Kalale said.

    • Great that we can now have something to enjoy looking, and possibly use, in the name of PF..What a strategy. Courtesy of PF.. I wont be surprised if one those girls take David Chama or Frank Bwalya to court in a year’s time for failing child maintenance…

    • TASINTHA at its best!!!

This woman, her aunt has been trying to stop this behaviour, whilst she is promoting it – i guess with encouragement from plot 1

Politics sinking to its lowest!! Why don’t you just parade them NUDE???? After all, PamaFi was all too happy after some young girl was stripped naked!!!

Vote WISELY 11/8/2016!! Vote Zambia FORWARD!! Vote for the WINNING TEAM!! Vote UPND!!
      Abantu baya!!!

      #chagwamustfall!! #PamaFikuyabebele!!

      I thank you!!

    • UPND WOMEN ARE EVEN WORSE. UPND WOMEN ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY NAKED. WOMEN WEAR LEGGINGS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND SOME OF THEM ARE WHAT ONE CAN’T DESCRIBE HERE. JUST INSCRIBING A WORD, A PHRASE OR TWO DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY BETTER OR WORSE IN THE CONTEXT OF LEGGINGS. IN FACT WHAT WE SEE IN ZAMBIA AND ENCOURAGED BY THE MEDIA FOR THEIR NEWS PRINTS’ HIGH SALES IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THESE.

    • But Mumbai Phiri, all she thinks about is UPND! Mumbai, is it UPND that complained for you to say “even UPND women wear sexy regalia”? You don’t dream about anything else but the UPND?

    • PF you are sinking too low and it is unbelievable that you have gone that far within 5 years of your rule. Mumbi Phiri is a classic example of free society means less dressing to attract attention for wrong reasons.

  1. This woman again. She just says rubbish all the time. Was it not the PF male cadres who undressed a uPnd cadre woman?

    • Mumbi Phiri knows where to take PF women for abortions. By 10th August all those PF female cadres will be 3 months pregnant. At 3 months pregnant, that when they throw-up all the time, and surviving on soil only. How can they campaign to end?
2 years from now, all those PF campaign babies will be orphaned, unless they do the Mumbi Phiri way, which as a catholic its a sin.

    • Mumbwe Phiri had to bring in UPND in her silly explanation. Do PF minions ever think of anything other than UPND, day and night?

    • I can see that some men are taken by those photos. Makes me laugh. Look closely, you will notice that the underwear beneath the leggings is padded. It helps even a terribly shaped a$$ look round. Lol. Relax gentlemen. The decent ones that have it all have no need to parade themselves like that, only the ones that “sell”.
Such a statement coming from Mrs Phiri who maybe has daughters and nieces is such a shame. What will you teach them? Don’t be surprised if they don’t get married, they will make nice “comforters” to men who want no strings attached. Sad.

    • You wonder why our prayers never get answered? We are not sincere. We ask for one thing and actin a manner that is contra. That’s tantamount to mocking God, assuming there is a God.

  2. I think they should also introduce bum-shorts ,pants, condoms with PF log……..no stone should remain unturned……

    • Edgar chakolwa kaloba Wrungu after she bang those chawama ladies then she send them on the street saying Na ine bandwalikefye. Be careful people don’t sleep with any woman in Pf regalia they have been contaminated by Edgar Wrungu.

  3. The chuundu fellows are condemning meanwhile they can’t resist looking at the bums.Kikiki mukose badala

    • LT wtf you are censuring words you yourselves have used in the heading and the entire story. That word is bamms

  4. ‘Zambia is a free Country’Birds of the same fethaz flyz 2gether.Mayo bana Phiri, don’t say ati Zamambia is a free Country. Landeni ati PF is a free party where everyone is free to do what he/she thinks to do and to say.Umubili wamwanakashi ufwile ukuchindama……..ndeloleshafye!

  5. MUMBI PHIRI TALKS WHAT SHE DOES. HOW COME SHE CAN COME IN DEFENSIVE POWER. OH NO, NO WONDER SHE IS ALWAYS IN CONFLICT WITH HER HUSBAND BECAUSE SHE OPENS HER LEGS TO THOSE CLOSER TO HER WITHOUT RESPECTING HER HUSBAND

  6. Let’s accept that times are changing. Women wear these clothes every other day at the mall, parties, weddings and whatnot. The fact that they’re wearing these and are aligned to a political party is what has raised dust. Voters will know better than to elect a government that offers no more than sound policies and economic transformation. Keep your eyes on the goal, gentlemen and ladies … sex isn’t the problem here, the economy is.

  7. Look at the way Mumbi is looking at the president’s daughter … she could be insulting her in her heart.

  8. Remember that PF is paying for all this immoral regalia! the poor girls who are looking for decent opportunities which PF has failed to create are now being used by the same PF as SEX OBJECTS! We hear they are being paid for every exhibit! PROMOTING PROSTITUTION. ONE WONDERS WHAT HAPPENS AT THEIR FUNCTIONS AFTER THEY ARE ALL DRUNK! That is PF for you: They don’t see anything wrong with corruption in road contracts, they don’t see anything wrong with corrupting the minds of our young girls! What a shame! What decent comment can come from Mumbi Phiri? We have known that this woman has no leadership qualities! SONTA AMA ULE!

  9. Can you see the difference between Mumbi & the decent Linda Kasonde? Mumbi tells you the kind of characters found in PF

    • Excellent comparison! You can see the substance in Kasonde and the lack of it in Mumbi. It is people like Mumbi who are polluting our Politics. Mumbi Phiri should never be anywhere near leadership if we are to avoid being JUST ANOTHER AFRICAN COUNTRY! We have a chance to do that on 11 August 2016.

    • I Do not see the object and subject of this useless article.
To build strong institutions require participation of the masses led by un-greedy but caring lawyers. The problem in Zambia is lawyers want to make money and be rich not only rich but super rich. Masses are there to take up the fight but can they do it without lawyers No. But when they involve lawyers, they end up with huge debts in form of legal fees for fighting a just cause from which even the very lawyer taking up the matter end benefiting. Look at the case of Nguni who invoked the case against Mutembo Nchito. How much money have they demanded from Nguni, over USD500,000 in legal fees. Can you imagine that. Yet Nguni was helping the public have Mutembo defend himself against allegations leveled about him. If Mutembo is…

  10. The way you dress is the way other people will address you; so if you dress like a harlot (there is a dress code for harlots), you’ll be treated like one. These political parties are led by leaders who profess to be Christians and therefore must encourage good morals period. God bless Zambia!

    • Edgar Lungu as leader of PF approved this dress code and funded it! After destroying our economy, he now wants to destroy even the morals of our young girls! What a shame!

    • K Bwalya. I couldn’t agree with you more. Morality in Zambia has become the worst but that goes with a bad economy where people cannot use their time productively due to lack of opportunity

  11. balekeni fye, kaili PF slogan ni “SONTA APO WAN***NGA”. so baletunga fye apo PF alesonta.
elyo futi naimbi slogan ni “SELA TUT***MBEKO”. kaili ni palya pene PF at***mba

  12. I think she is confused with the K10 Million defamation claim from Mulenga Sata. And she recently portrayed herself as a holy person before the holy Father POPE Francis. By they was the ex-priest Frank Bwalya on the entourage that went to Rome?

  13. Indeed, the PF leadership has lost control…. They cannot stop the violence, they cannot stop the flaunting of bottoms…! Everything is in free fall, on auto pilot. That is until the big crash on 11th August!

  14. HH is not attractive to anything and anyone please give us something interesting.
It’s kolopa this time PF members are going to turn up and vote in huge numbers. We learn our lesson in 2015 and that mistake cannot be repeated. UPND , your numbers can only make up 30 to 35 % maximum. So do your maths.

  15. AM SURE THE CHUUNDU GIRLS CANNOT MATCH UP WITH THESE. THEY WILL PROBABLY DRESS IN CATTLE SKINS LACED WITH DUNG

  16. Mumbi Phiri, its not about appearing sexy which will win you votes but explaining to the Zambians what you are going to do about the economic quagmire which you have placed our beloved country in with your incompetent President!! By the way what’s the latest on your case with Mulenga Sata where you defamed him, naikosa and you were not even adopted for Munali!!

  17. Typical pf talking about regalia instead of development. Upnd is talking about rural electrification and their 10 point plan but usual pf no plan at all
    Pathetic

  18. An incident transpired when Muhammad Ali’s daughters arrived at his home wearing clothes that were quite revealing. Here is the story as told by one of his daughters:

“When we finally arrived, the chauffeur escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my father’s suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day. My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up…

  19. continued…and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You’ve got to work hard to get to them.” He looked at me with serious eyes. “Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too.”

    • @24, 25 mdimba,
A very good message, has a lot of depth and meaning. I wish those in the picture could read mdimba’s quote from Muhammad Ali and think about. It would make them think twice and not cheapen themselves like that.

  20. JUST PRINT YOUR KNICKERS AND PETTICOATS WITH SONTA AND UNDRESS WHEN CAMPAIGNING BUT IN THE EYES OF GOD IT WONT WORK OUT. YOU ARE THE SAME LEADERS WHO CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIAN AND AT THE SAME TIME TIME YOU ALLOW THAT NONSENSE SHAME ON YOU HULE. NO MANNERS NOT EVEN BAD ONES.

  21. Discrimination against our dear women should stop. There is nothing wrong with the PF regalia and its not sexy.

  22. The way leaders of a society come out when absurd things begin to appear is very important. I would have expected her to end by highlighting that decency is important for any society. In the same way, when we make comments about the article with insults and un-printables, we are just contributing to the absurd things coming up in our society. Irrespective of who we support, lets be decent in speech, dress and conduct for a better Zambia and as a lesson to posterity.

  23. Ubupuba nobupulumushi bweka bweka my zambia. I am tired. Maybe trek to Europe as a migrant. What type of thinking is this, were you order inappropriate attire, add to bring champions of violence. I am non partisan but sick and tired of this PF behaviour. They fight and never arrested. Time ibwela

  24. @24, 25 mdimba,
A very good message, has a lot of depth and meaning. I wish those girls in the picture could read mdimba’s quote from Muhammad Ali and think about. It would make them think twice and not cheapen themselves like that.

  25. What’s sexy about the girls’ dressing, don’t we see that on the streets everyday? Now it’s wrong just because it is written PF on it?

  26. As a leader you cannot just say ‘people can wear whatever they want’. There are decency laws by the way (indecent exposure) So there is a line. A sensible leader should go further and allude to this line. The same so-called women leaders will be in the fore-front to complain about the sexual objectification of girls and women in adverts, music videos etc. But because of desperation for some perceived political gains, they will not flinch to parade their daughters near naked. This is also a pointer to the fact that no one seems to really work in this government. Where are the objectives and actions that have to do with viable consistent beneficial policies? Including of course, matters of gender, equality and decency.

  27. How do you walk around with words printed on your chiteni. Madness, nobody is normal in this party. Fake doctor, once said if a priest stops being a priest he becomes mad talking about chumbu mushololwa. Chumbu the man who enjoys the limelight, even what is not supposed to be responded to gets responded to. Imwe, sure, school ili important

  28. The big question is: can Tasila Lungu wear those things? Let Mumbi and Dora Siliya start wearing the same since they like flaunting what their mamas gave them and they are attention seekers.
    Stop using poor women.

  29. its a free country Zambia is not a Islamic country where women have to be covered head to toe but i do believe its getting a bit tacky in some places is not the write message to send to the youth

  30. You are busy condemning girls who are nicely dressed and praise Upnd namakwenkwes who were matching on the streets topless with flat breasts@ and dirty half fimofimo

  31. It is very simple. Just put on decent party regalia where everybody is able to read the campaign message. Those who put on sexy campaign regalia have got rotten morals.

  32. M’t:6:23: But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

With such behavior in the land of Zambia, you even call yourselves a christian nation. Your fruits are not showing that you are true Christians.

  33. As I said countless times to be a UPND cadre bulwelwe ubwachila cholera nangula HIV. They just criticise, even when there is no issue they must just open their mouths and bowels. I mean whats sexy about these pictures? Isnt that normal dressing for a lot of our women? Just adding PF campaign slogans like Vote PF or PF Diva makes the dressing sexy? Come on tonga bulls, where is your renouned sexual appetite taking you? Your wives are not enough? You get ua worried, are our ladies safe if HH came to power? Fortunately he will not, bemba women have vowed to make sure that doesnt happen. Sorry you just have to get used to Edgar Lungu, abesu until 2021!

  34. So mini skirts are allowed in Zambia? Mumbi says they can wear anything any time. I thought I read a story where a lady was stripped naked for wearing a mini skirt, what has changed now mummy?

    • NO DRESS CODE IN ZAMBIA. WHY ARE YOU PRETENDING U SEE THIS THE KIND OF DRESSING EVERYDAY EVERYWHERE EVEN IN OFFICES. NOT EVEN THE POLICE CAN DIFFERENTIATE INDECENCY DRESSING TODAY. LOOK AT POLICEWOMEN SKIRTS IT TELLS A STORY. ACTUALLY THE VERSION OF MUMBI’S INTERVIEW IS FAR DIFFERENT ON FROM “THE LUSAKA TIMES” AS COMPARED TO THAT OF “TUMFWEKO” BUT SAME SOURCE WRITTEN AS ONE WANTS. READ BOTH ONLINE THEN YOU. WHY IS THAT THIS GIRLS FACE BACK TO THE CAMERAS WHY NOT BE SINCERE TO FACE THE CAMERAS TO BE IDENTIFIED WHETHER GENUINE PF CADRES OR “PLANTED”, LIKE THE WAY MAX CHONGO IS IDENTIFIED AS PF CADRE.

  35. PF has beautiful SEEXY girls.. Upnd has ugly girls.. you can differentiate between Upnd men and women..Nalumango ..case in point

  36. Bushe how old is ka Tasila? One moment shes looking like a ka sweet 16 the next moment looking like an escapee from an old people’s home

  37. I was watching the Golden state Warriors and Ayesha Curry. That is a woman, very Nkoya like respect and cooking skills. We as men should strive for such.

  39. Regalia, Regis, regal and royalty all have the same root. When a person dons/wears regalia they are the royalty of the organisation they represent. Each of a priest king or queens clothes and parts thereof have a meaning. Ask any military officer the meaning of their uniforms and why different uniforms are worn at different occasions. Ask why a uniformed officer is never to be found dancing wildly in uniform. There is a very good reason.
The royalty of your party. The height of decency and morality of your party is important. To be seen and identified as drunken lumpens, wh0res or thugs is the best way of bringing your party into disrepute.
Question: would these women be allowed to dine at state house dressed like that? Who would allow it.
For the Hunan rights old hags: pray tell us…

  40. Ahh please! This is not news!! Just choose your party and go and vote and stop wasting your breath on what people are wearing!

Listen to the politicians and choose your leaders wisely!!!

    Stay focused bane!
