    • IT WAS HURTING TO WATCH the poor quality of both the style of play and horrible quality of the players themselves when Zambia were humiliated by Swaziland at the COSAFA Tournament, and I couldn’t believe we lowered the bar so much from the days of King Kalu, Charles Musonda, Derby Mankinka, Timothy Mwitwa, Jericho Shinde, etc – ala natupwa!!!

  1. This is my ambassador. I entered Cote De Ivore without a visa because the Immigration Officer had too much respect for Kalusha Bwalya! What a legend!!!!!!!

    • Great comment Amalango, it’s important to share these stories about about our Zambian legends instead of always dwelling on people’s negatives all the time. I suspect the Netherlands have more respect for him than we do of our own!

    • That is a classic 🙂 ! Indeed Kalu is a legend and human. It feels bad that in Zambia we do not respect him as much as we should. Imagines in some places I have to in EU they know him and not even the presidents ever served in Zambia. Umuntu ni Kalu and we must erect a statue in his honor at the airport while he is still living!

  2. The only ***** who has never done any thing for his country. shame on you selfish bagger you dont inspire me *****.

    • Kalusha was national team coach and FAZ president in case you didn’t know. Whether he did it successfully is another matter and he would not be the only one. Just look at Lungu, RB, etc who have not been good at their jobs but they have achieved or accomplished what you will never manage.

    • Kasaka
How can you doubt if he was a successful FAZ president? It was under his watch that you won the first and only African Cup.When I see Kamanga and his penchant for engaging in petty issues don’t even imagine that you will repeat this feat again.
Oh I forgot you even failed to qualify for next year s finals.

  3. Great Kalu. Super Legend forever. By the way Kalu Zambia Has failed to qualify to the CHAN and have also failed to Progress to COSAFA finals. Zambians will soon realize why Kamanga and Ponga were fired at power

  4. I knew that Kamanga can’t do anything. These clubs they made a big mistake.Kamanga would kill Zambian football.During Kalu’s reign Zambia never failed to qualify and we won AFCON.But chi Kamanga katwishi mayo.Too bad that there are politics alos in futbal.Ba UPND hated Kalusha too much due to tribal politics.Let us not bring tribal politics in footbal imwe ba UPND regular radio callers.

  5. Lets not forget about the rampant ticket racketting, the polluting of fake jerseys on the black market, national team managers not getting paid, single sourcing Faz deals to his wife in RSA and utter misuse of poor taxpayer funds when this Galu was in charge…Yes he was good player but incompetent and very corrupt as FA President.
Why is this man not being investigated thoroughly? Why?

    • He is not being investigated because he is clean. All that list you have come up with are mare allegations no proof.

  6. Abena “shali ninkongole twasendele” kulimonesha ta! The chap is skum, he won no cup outside of COSAFA and he lost an election to Kamanga. Kalusha should be ashamed of himself, ka swine!

    • Maybe we should just continue with Edgar. You Tongas and your tribalism are disgusting. The man you are condemning now brought you the African Cup.He also almost single handedly as a player got you to the finals of 1994 African cup.But all you see today are his negative side.

  7. Abakali bakali. Look at the way kambwili is coming next move in the state house. I wish mama wina can just work for a year and be replaced by kambwili as vice.

  8. For some of you who were born yesterday, let me tell you about the Great Kalu: 1) His family is a family of talented boys, Joe Bwalya, Chongo Bwalya, Benjamin Bwalya and the Great Kalu himself. Kalusha assembled the team after the Gabon disaster. Great Kalu was the pillar of Zed football and would score on many occasions the killer goals: Ask Moroccans, Gabon, SA, Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Italy, Guatemala, Sweden etc. Great Kalu was among the first professionals to play abroad in Belgium under Circle brudge, went to Holland and played with Romario and then went to Mexico. He became FAZ president and fought for Zambian league to be aired on Supersport. There a lot that I can not mention. At secondary school level he was the captain. Respect the man, he has done a lot for Zambia.

  9. I would like to see Kalusha play more of these roles THAN fighting Kamanga. Kalusha is an icon in Zambia and let him not sink so low as to start fighting people like Kamanga. Infact Kamanga is his traditional cousin so why fight him? Kamanga beat him clean at the elections, so let him move on. He has played his part in Zambia’s soccer. He should know that he is not a Zambian icon but an African one. So this thing about fighting Kamanga is beneath him. Kalusha my brother move on. Patch up your differences with Kamanga. We want to see you side by side with Kamanga not with gloves. What a sight that would be!

  10. Zambian soccer needs a re-birth after the departure of great Kalu. these are not well baKamanga just work hard to improve the state of zambian football. get advice from your predecessors including Kalusha on how to regain our lost glory. Zambians no need for a blame culture–even underdogs are eliminating us! Shame to us!

  11. What was the criteria for selecting the so called legends? Where is Roger Milla, Abedi Pele, Lucas Radebe to mention but just a few?

    • My friend, ask God why some Kalu and other fellows are more recognized and blessed than others. It is not about being so called great footballer. Divine hand also plays a part.

  12. My friend, ask God why great Kalu and other fellows are more recognized and blessed than others. It is not about being so called great footballer. Divine hand also plays a part.

  13. Do not be shallow minded as well, GREAT KALU cant fight kamanga. This boy, his failure to manage soccer in zambia will surely fight him.

  14. Zambia a little known country in the world but whenever her own is being recongnized and respected internationally, we shoot them down.
    1. Kalusha Bwalya on of respected footballers around the world but zambians have tried to pull him down
2.KK the respected personal in world 9south africa, namibia , botswna, zimbabwe, malawi, America etc speak highly of him but not liked in zambia
    3. Rupiah Banda.. highly hounred by the UN, AU and EU as one of the few prsident who handed over power peacefully even when zambia was doing very fine and alot outside wanted him to win because zambia was becoming a good example.. but zambia kept on shooting him dowm

  15. There are only two people who keeps the Zambian flag high whenever am in the foreign country people will only ask about KK and kalu and sometimes the victoria fall have never been asked about Edgar not even in congo he is not known he is only known in chawama

  16. Kalusha Bwalya aint no saint but he has achieved a lot for Zambian Soccer. Our maiden AFCON triumph as FAZ boss, the only footballer in the Southern African region to be named African Footballer of the Year (1988). Still the Zambia National Team top scorer to date. He did his part for Zambian soccer and we must appreciate that. Yes there are numerous allegations against him of alleged fraud which have not been proven. After the great Godfrey Chitalu, I rate him the second greatest Zambian soccer star. A product of Mufulira Blackpool and Mighty Mufulira Wanderers umwina milambo! That is Kalu, and I will always honour him for his great footballing exploits.

  17. BA KAMANGA KUWAYAYA FYE LIKE UPND, SAD. KAMANGA THOUGHT THAT TO RUN FAZ IS SO EASY. LET US WAIT AND SEE. BY THE WAY HAS HE SEEN THOSE PICTURES WHERE GREAT KALU IS MINGLING WITH HIS FELLOW GREAT FOOTBALLERS OF ALL THE TIME?

  18. Jay Jay,,, Kalu is not being investigated because he did nothing wrong… All those allegations you mentioned are and were just hearsay!!! you full!!!

  19. Jay Jay,,, Kalu is not being investigated because he did nothing wrong… All those allegations you mentioned are and were just hearsay!!! you full!!! Sorry I did not finish the of full!!! I wanted to say full of no sense!!!

  20. yaba,,, some people are useless how can some forget Kalu… who did so many things as a player in Zambian football as well as in administration. I now know that Tuchilinatukwata ifiwelewele who have never contributed anything in Zambian circles, not even where they come from…shame indeed calling yourself JAY!
