Christian Churches Monitoring Group ‘s PVT affirms ECZ Presidential Results

The Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) has said that their deployed parallel vote tabulation (PVT) estimates are consistent with the ECZ’s official results for the 2016 presidential election delcared, giving confidence that the results announced by the ECZ at Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka accurately reflect the ballots cast by voters at the 10,818 polling streams
located at 7,700 polling stations.

In a statement released to the media, CCMG said that all stake holders should have confidence in the ECZ presidential Results.

“Now that the ECZ has declared results for the 2016 presidential elections, CCMG affirms that
its PVT estimates for the presidential election are consistent with the ECZ’s official results.

All stakeholders, particularly political parties, that participated in the election should have confidence in the ECZ’s presidential results,” read the report.

The Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) is an alliance of four faith based organisations formed to help promote credible elections through non-partisan citizen monitoring. The CCMG partner organisations are: Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ); Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ); Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflections (JCTR); and Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB), formerly the Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC), through Caritas Zambia. CCMG was founded ahead of the 20 th January 2015 presidential by-election. CCMG is strictly non-partisan.

      HH should still remain at the helm.

      Sideline GBM and see if Kaseba can be the shadow Vice president .

      GBM doesnt add much, and there is a few bodies around HH that he needs to ask himself if they bring anything at all.

      Kaseba will add the Sata sypathv vote and the quicker the regroup happens the better.

      Ot was always a tall order disposing of a current sitting presdeint.

      2021 will stand a better chance IF they embrace electronic vote counts.

    • UPND have no shame. How could HH win with support from 3 and 1/2 provinces only. Edgar had support in 6 and 1/2 provinces. Re think your strategy otherwise you will forever be in the oposition.
      Even the number of MPS that won on PF ticket is far ahead of numbers won on UPND ticket. As long upnd play it tribal, they will never win.

    • Mushota i choose to differ on the Sata sympathy vote. Ask Mulenga why he was not campaigning. People of Chitulika are still not happy with the insults the UPND and WDG yelled at Sata even on his grave. Sata went to ask for the vote but was told to go into UPND alone for the insults were still fresh to them. Just check how they voted around that area and you will get the answer. Kaseba can not add value too especially that they are not even in a goody goody relationship with the in laws. So banking on that would be deadly!

    Today is a big dununa day for PF. They deserve to do their reverse dance as they celebrate victory.

    UPND supporters must give them a wide berth and avoid confrontation.

    Any criminal who wants to pose as UPND by looting or rioting must be dealt with harshly by the Police.

  4. I wish these haters of the President on this blog and their regions could have heeded from the voice of majority of Zambians a long time ago. The independent Christian monitoring group and all outside observers have declared the election free and fare and former Nigerian head of state Goodluck Jonathan has admired the process but these losers and regional and tribal cadres cannot recognize the elections? Shame!

    • Nearly 49.7% of Zambian voters are losers and regional and tribal cadres but 50.2% are angelic …. I believe some statements need to be rethought ….. Majority have also got a history of making grave mistakes. Examples are many and one in the Bible beats them all … thank you very Much Mr Shame

    • Wide is the way that leads to destruction. The few losers might have been using their heads to vote and the majority were mislead. Remember that God does not speak to masses but individuals. Stop fueling the tribal talk else you will be held accountable for the masses you are going to entice.

    • Ndola and Kayama are in cities where monitors and vigilant UPND were present. And how did the votes go missing? I bet they were traced and added to the count. If not UPND has the case.

  12. these estimates are based on what these PVT monitors were provided by ECZ whether manipulated or not. They can not authentify anything, remember these had no access to G12 papers only announcement of results forms

    A convention is top priority after outcome of Constitutional Court process.

    Let fresh ideas come through in the structures of the party. This party is like a church, we the members will NEVER leave it like MMD members did. We remain firmly and resolutely “Red”!

    • Good points. Get rid off Deepak Patel. He did a good job for MMD in 1991. But times have changed and his ideas are becoming rusty. Pointing at mistakes of PF did not help the young voters. UPND 10 points was a great summary of what the party was going to do. But half the time was spent on insulting Lungu as a Chakolwa (chasing away many drunkards’ votes), visionless etc which actually spells out the fact that he was useless and the clever ones where in UPND. UPND need to convince the kids who are now 14 years that they have a future for. In 2021 they will be voters, that is if the Concourt petition comes out negative.

NW was persuaded to vote that way bcoz HH campaigned in all places he went that the underdevelopment of the province is bcoz PF took their money to build Muchinga. Meanwhile PF is connecting all Districts to the national grid,something those who were boasting about opening mines never did. In their hatred they have failed to appreciate development projects in Southern and Western Provinces done at a great cost to the coffers. Some of the Eurobond money they criticize went there!     • Which expensive development projects? PF cannot even finish the Ndola-Kitwe carriageway not the Kitwe-Chingola one. Solwezi Road is a non-starter. The Mongu Kalabo Road was funded and started by MMD. Just watch as you eat your tribe for the next 5 years, you incompetents.

  24. HH and team never leave any stone unturned the evidence around these elections is so over whelming. I for one do not think ECL can win this election with 0.03% something is really wrong. I know you will win the petition prepare as much evidence as possible and the people busy celebrating will be disappointed. We are a united people and will never break.

    • Even if proven that UPND won, nothing can be done. This is a GRZ of thugs who have bought off every body who is supposed to be independent.

      Millions of dollars to steal and abuse are at stake. There is no way the PF can pass up this chance of enriching them selves. Lungu made $2.3 million in one year, you must be dreaming if you think he can let a chance like this go.

    • The results have not been agreed. That’s why they are disputed. And Zambia loves wasting resources as shown with PF and the myriad by-elections in 2011. Si ndalama za nyoko.

    It is not possible to rig elections when you have agents and monitors through out the processing chain.
    It is even more obvious that it is impossible to rig in an urban setup.

    • The biggest problem with PF carders is don’t limited knowledge and poor analysis. The law stipulates that the results announced by ECZ should be tabulated from G12 forms; ecz and pf hid these forms and announced their own figures. Now that these G12 forms have been collected from all polling stations, the differences between actual votes and what ecz announced are shocking to say the least. Sure even poor UNIP was robbed of 1,000 votes in Chingola just so that pf can get 50%. Please stop watching ZNBC, its are misleading you; this evening try watching prime TV or Muvi TV news and you will be shocked at the amount of evidence that is coming out every day
