Why we need a recount in Lusaka
At a press briefing on Sunday evening we set out the reasons why we need a recount in Lusaka district:
1. G12 forms were withheld from our polling agents after the initial release, meaning they were not able to verify the results. The totalling process cannot be legitimately completed without these and the only way to now verify them transparently is to recount the votes in the presence of all stakeholders.
Note the form was initially being released but then halted in Lusaka. We believe this was a deliberate move to leave results open in Lusaka so the PF could boost their numbers as required on the basis of results coming in from the other provinces.
2. During the delays with the G12 there was widespread intimidation at polling stations including Kamwala basic school in Kabwata and Olympia school in Mandevu where PF agents physically kicked out our agents during the counting process.
3. Dr. Mwanawasa uncovered a discrepancy of 14,000 votes in the Kanyama presidential vote, across a total of 20 polling streams. Informed by her agent that numbers were not adding up she came to the totalling centre to find the missing results literally thrown in the bin. Once retrieved our vote share went from 17,985 to 32,024. This is just one constituency and we know they have rolled out a similar scheme across Lusaka.
4. Instances where a higher number of votes were cast than registered voters. For example at Kamanga polling station in Munali 714 more votes than registered voters were recorded.
5. Discovery of pre-marked ballots outside of ZAF HQ as late as Sunday morning. We are filing a legal case to present the evidence on this matter.

HH, and all opposition supporters must not accept these results without being properly verified. The genuine Zambians have voted for HH but the corrupt ECZ and PF want to enforce themselves against the will of the people. If PF wins genuinely, them we will accept the outcome as that is the nature of democracy. There are winners and losers. However, this must be done properly and democratically in order to remove all forms of manipulation and allegations. Accepting these fake results will be a betrayal to democracy and majority of Zambians.
Whats the point of voting if people will use such undemocratic moves. Recount, verify and let all parties be satisfied with the results. We have said it before that Mr Lungu is a danger to democracy.

If this delay continues we will entering uncharted waters. Very worrying indeed, but justice should be seen to be done.
It looks like PF is winning the elections so if they won fairly why are they afraid of a recount? ECZ has not issued a statement on Samuel Chavula the Computer Hacker. What was he doing in a Security area? Noel Mbao of Kanyama after throwing away 15000 votes and disadvantaging HH. Can ECZ explain all this. Essau Chulu of ECZ has connived with Lungu and RB to steal the vote. These three people are sewing the seeds of social strife in Zambia just like Gbagbo did in Ivory Coast. Lungu does not want a vote recount in Lusaka becoz this will expose his Rigging Schemes. Essau Chulu will defy the Court Order to his own peril. The writing is on the Wall!
The ECZ conveniently update the results during the night when the majority of the population is asleep. There is less likely to be a negative reaction at 03.00 hrs than at 14.00 hrs. As an outsider, when I step back and look at the series of events prior and during the Election it is apparant that there has been a well thought out ‘Master Plan’ put in place in order for the PF to stay in power. I suspect that outsiders have been used for this as i dont think there is anyone in the current government that has the ‘brains’ to do this. Just my opinion….
