Power crush Lusaka Dynamos

Power Dynamos bounced back to winning ways on Sunday when they downed Lusaka Dynamos 4-1 at home in Kitwe.

The win came just four days after Power lost 4-0 away to defending champions Zesco United in Ndola to end a six-match unbeaten run.

A brace from Patson Daka and Kelvin Mubanga handed Power the three points to see them stay third and within a reasonable distance of Nkana and Zanaco who are 2nd and 1st respectively.

Daka put Power ahead in the 18th minute off a Mubanga cross.

Daka reciprocated in the 34th minute when he placed the ball into Mubanga’s path to see Power take a 2-0 halftime lead.

Luka Lungu was then denied by the woodwork in the 54th minute but three minutes later won Power a penalty after he was brought down by Paul Banda.

Mubanga stepped up to convert the penalty and on the hour mark Daka too completed his brace.

Power shift to 43 points five behind Nkana and twelve adrift of Zanaco after 23 matches played with another ten to go.
