Rainbow Party general Secretary Wynter Kabimba and Green Party president Peter Sinkamba have both urged United Party for National Development (UPND) leaders to recognise Patriotic Front (PF) candidate Edgar Lungu’s re-election in last month’s general elections.

Mr Kabimba urged UPND recognise President Lungu’s re-election in last month’s general elections and to shift their focus on preparing for the 2021 general elections.

Mr Kabimba said President Lungu was declared winner of the August 11 general elections by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), which is the body mandated to so.

And Mr Sinkamba advised UPND to put behind its defeat and recognise President Lungu as a duly- elected head of State.

Mr Sinkamba said in a statement yesterday that there is need for UPND to quickly come to terms with its electoral defeat in the August 11 general elections because it is reality.

He said it will not be in the interest of the country for the opposition party to continue fighting the will of the people of Zambia by refusing to recognise President Lungu as a duly-elected head of State.

“UPND should quickly move and get going so that their mayors facilitate the pardoning of their cadres incarcerated in areas of their control. The best scenario for UPND is to get set and get

  1. HH will continue crying for nothing just like babies do at times. That’s why he will always be a cry baby.

    • They are putting the people of Southern and N/Wester province in a very difficult situation more especially those who are in mixed marriages (Tonga/ Northern and Tonga/ Eastern). The effect is not different in work places especially Government officers, there is a silent war which if not handled properly can divide the nation. One Zambia One Nation.

    • But why force others. Do so yourselves. Recognition is not a forcing matter. Just like respect. Someone has to earn it. Pretence to the recognise someone will never amount to true genuine recognition. The UPND have an issue that needs sorting out.

    • Ba Ngolwa – There is no issue. UPND is just ashamed at the loss and are finding it difficult to accept the results and hence resorting to lies. HH cannot continue playing games and inciting people like you – the president as a fellow human being, has his own limits.

    • Give them enough time to mourn. They will eventually come back to earth to regain a sense of reality. Their issue behind all these hyperventilations is nkhongole they contracted from South African Boers having pledged to deliver Zambian resources to the highest bidders that. It’s now scaring them fearing what those economic hitmen may do with them soon or later. One thing they know is that the sponsors cannot suddenly turn into money shredders. This means the “blessee and the blesser” must think some restitution in one way or another. HH was over confident forgetting that power belongs to the people and not to how much he had laundered around.

    • @Ba Observer I don’t know what issues the UPND have but I know that they presented a petition to the courts which was never heard or determined. The issues in that petition will be known by us who were not party to the petition. I never said I don’t recognise ECL. ..so don’t say UPND are inciting me. But I still stand by my belief that recognition can never be forced.

    • Why force UPND, even of of has refused to recognize some of his son in-laws, and you guys even pregnancies kukana. What’s wrong for UPND to give privacy to Edgar to have meeting with PF MP’s at parliament? Seriously who would want to hear voice of Lungu on a Friday.

    • AS LONG AS PF/ECZ FAIL TO TELL THE NATION AS TO WHAT THAT UGANDAN, MU7 BOY WAS DOING IN THAT SERVER ROOM, THEN THEY WILL FOREVER REMAIN GUILT OF ELECTION FRAUD AND HENCEFORTH LUNGU DOES NOT DESERVE RECOGNITION. HH/GBM, THE 50% OF THE VOTERS ARE WITH YOU, PLEASE DO NOT RECOGNISE THE ILLEGIMATE BATCH OF BAKABOLALA, NEVER EVER!

    • Why are other opposition parties bothered? It’s not like upnd is asking them to contribute to the struggle. If these people sincerely believe there’s no reason to continue contesting the election, why don’t they just sit back and enjoy the show?

    • Sometimes thing we do become a hobny.

HH must have struggled crying when he first lost.

Now it has become a hobby, such that he even plans for it in advance that he will cry.

      He made it clear before elections;
If I win I will accept, if I lose I will not accept.

So this crying was well planned way before elections.

Therefore it is part of the UPND and HH to cry.

    • All is well with @ Ngolwa and Nostradamus let Kabimba and Sinkamba with all those that have decided to accept defeat and recognise the legitimacy of Lungu do so staying in their lane and not continue egging those with a different view to just accept! In any case all of the party leaders saying UPND leadership must just accept performed dismally! At stake is integrity and respect for the constitution and raping of the law. It is a given that overturning giving PF the victory is but someone has to lead in instituting measures to sanitize governance and respect for law and the citizens.

  2. @ NGOLWA, IWE CHICA LAR WAT ISSUES DOES UPND HAS TO SORT OUT AND WITH WHO? WOKE UP FROM YO DREAMING WORLD YOU F00L ECL Z THE PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA. LOVE IT OR HATE THIS IS THE REALITY.

    • God bless you so that you realise that you don’t insult people you don’t know. Have your parents taught you anything about Karma? Never insult people you don’t know. Debate the topic with ideas not insults.

    • The issue is that the election petition was not heard and Lungu was sown in ilegaly by con court Registrar and not chief justice. In short we are defending the constitution. The election results were announced after 48hrs o facilitate riging and yet the petition was stoped on the 10th siting.

    • Why doesn’t Lungu just recognise himself as President? Why force others to recognise him? He wanted the Presidency so much that he murdered Mapenzi and rigged the election results for Lusaka. Let him recognise himself for what he is.

  3. Yamunyokola njala kabimba,hh is my smart man will not plead with drunkards. To hell kabimba with your colleague jameson.

    • Stop hallucinating, wake up and clean your face and come to terms with reality or else bitterness will send you to your grave. HH knows from deep down his heart that he was bitten by ECL pants down. The battle with HH is to try to win sympathy from Anglo America and some South African companies that pumped money into UPND hoping to take over our mines if HH is declared the winner. Wait for C.Banda their former vice president he is about to tell the world what is going on in UPND. No wonder he refused to support the two terrible losers when they launched out their fruitless election petition crusade.

  4. As if ECL’s legitimacy is dependent on UPND! It’s great that we’ve all moved on and the sooner they follow suit the better for, not Zambia but, them. As things stand now the whole world is cheering ECL!!!!!!

    • That’s the attitude. Lungu wanted the Presidency so much. Let him recognise himself and get on with ruining Zambia over the next 5 years.

  5. Winter and Simkamba, leave UPND alone. PF stole votes. How can you tell a thief that he was democratically elected? Just go back to PF if you want to.

  6. Southern, Western and Northwest should learn from past mistakes. During Kaunda Northwest was in a forced opposition by Anderson Mushala the area remained undeveloped for a very long time.

    • The area is still underdeveloped despite having the largest new mines. Don’t fall for the trap of promises as reward for “good” subservient behaviour. The Chingola-Solwezi road is a disaster and had been for years despite so many promises by PF to repair the road. All lies!

    • Other than urban provinces, the rest of them are underdeveloped.

What is important in any case is the improvement of people’s living standards: the net effect of all indicators of development.

  7. At prepare for 2021. With the current ECZ, which wz manipulating figures in broad day light, nothing wil change. And me as a voter, why should i vote in 2021, its like having a Frog and and one predetamined winner on the ballot. Imagin I wz in queue by 04:30hrs to vote in Kanyama and at the end of the day 14000 votes were thrown in a trush can. Therefore, does my vote count as we are told? NO. Therefore y waste my time to stand in a queue in 2021 to vote.

  8. I listened to Winter on Let the people talk programme,he never said that, its ironic for some news medias to fabricate lies and spread falsehood. The UPND has to exhaust the Court system, they have to take the matter higher and higher…. A failure can’t advise a success man but the other way round…. Let us all stand by the wheels of justice than promote illegality.

    • I learn a lot from both failures and winners. From a loser, you learn what not to do if you want to succeed. It is failure to learn that continues to make UPND fail. They should have learnt by now that presidents are chosen by voters not courts. They have also failed to learn that you cannot become president after winning in 3 of the 10 provinces only. Even if elections were rerun to day HH would still loose.

    • Is there a Court higher than the ConCourt in Zambia where your kalusa Hagain Hagain can go? Sometimes you get a feeling UPND sycophants have turned into ROBOTS mwe. No hint of independent thought and analysis of their own. Whatever their ‘cult’ leader HH vomits, they lap it up like it is their last meal before Execution at Mukobeko. Bwana @Aipepeta, there is nowhere else HH can take his still-born petition anymore. The case is DEAD and BURIED at the ConCourt grounds NEVER to rise again. Get it?!

No matter how much noise HH makes, no International Court has Legal Jurisdiction to hear Zambian electoral petitions. Please try to understand such simple matters about International Treats Zambia is Signatory to before you make F000LS of yourselves even on the International stage—ati UPND…

    • I think we need a tribal fight don’t you think so?thats when we shall start to respect each other.Lungu must fall and yes he will.

  9. The magnitude of vote theft by pf is what worries Zambians. Even in 2021 pf will still rig the election using the corrupt wings of govt.

    • The whole world now knows the motive of that construction by upnd and are not paying attention to the fabrication. Soon the whole world shall label HH as the rebel leader. Just wait!

    • If there was any rigging that took place, it happened in Dundumwenzi and the wider UPND strongholds. HH should start by consulting his cousins in Dundumwezi who rigged the elections. Those people sure know more about rigging than anybody else!

  10. If hh and gbm are not caged, they will end up bring civil war in the country. Already rumour has it that there are young men who have gone missing in western, southern and north Western provinces. It is believed that they are busy training somewhere in Namibia in readiness for Barotse Land secession in November, 2016. I urge our military intelligence to investigate this issue before its too late. Let there be tight security by soldiers not police in these three provinces. We are already living in fear here in western province.

  11. Shut up kabimba you are block ;looking for job from Edgar. You can’t even a councillor election not even in your own village .Sinkamba daga man the stuff makes you speak rott. Both of u you are quackes not a match to HH combining your votes together even a councillor scored better in the previous election. Mwanya pf cadres thats why your own president has given few jobs and he does not trust u if u are expecting good from your president you are headed for trouble as long as you reside in zambia hardship wont spare u

  12. Obviously Winter and Peter are not privy to the evidence the UPND wanted to unleash at concourt. So it’s chilande lande

    • Evidence only Mushipe and ZWD knows about? Says a lot why your Lawyers failed to present a case within the Constitutionally allotted time.

Next time don’t file a Presidential petition just because ZWD and The Post think you should. Better have a solid case before you show up at the ConCourt. Not a case based on rumors, suspicions, innuendos, vindictiveness, and feelings of a woman (one Martha Mushipe) going through menopause!

  13. Instead of organising their party that was even beaten by new entrant Andyford Banda in the elections the most arrogant guy in the history of Zambian politics is talking about the UPND. Very shameful

  14. My simple question is when shall leaders start to respect the rule of law and uphold people’s will. or may be its not important to respect democracy and rule of law. we saw it clearly that lungu disrespected the constitution and refused to step aside as required by law and he bulldozed his way to make sure the courts did not look at the petition objectively.is this kind of conduct really beneficial to lungu and the country. people should not be focusing too much on monetary benefits. the money lungu is getting from govt wont take him anywhere. mobutu died he left $4billion in his bank account. kabila has $15billion but its so difficult to respect his country’s constitution. Mseveni has $8.5billion but he cant bear a thought of leaving power. therefore the money these African leaders…

    • Quote an Article in our Constitution that says ECL (incumbent President) was supposed to step down during the petition period.

Because the Constitution says the Incumbent President (if s/he is part to the petition, either as the Complainant or Defendant) can only step down when the ConCourt nullifies the election and orders a re-run. And none of that happened in this case. Don’t just yap because Ndulo and Hansungule say so. Try to read the Constitution for yourself!

  15. @chama chibeka the question is do you understand the constitution at all? HH’s petition was on the first ballot which according to article 101 the incumbent who was also the president elect was not supposed to step aside. If between HH and ECL there was no outright winner, then obviously there was going to be a second ballot. It is the petition from the second ballot that now article 103 come into play; that is asking the president elect to step aside. Please all those who keep on saying he disregarded the constitution on this one can you re-read the constitution so that you get the correct picture. It is sad that people have chosen to ignore the facts and want only what favors them.

  16. Kabimba and that cracking smoking chap s8nkamba ate non entities who shouldn’t be given headline status. These chaps have failed to gain any support and are now looking for job from their fellow failure lungu. Burn in hell for you only care for your wellbeing

  17. Come on folks, which court can the UPND take the matter to?. To beat an incumbent, you really need to work hard. Accept also that even in the midst of economic downturn, PF and Edgar Lungu has supporters, it’s a democratic game which people enjoy by choosing what they want. If indeed this election was stolen, those foreign monitoring groups who were doing PVT would have said so. What HH is currently is doing is treason and he has to thank Lungu for being soft otherwise he would have been visited already and locked up for inciting people to rise against a democratically elected government. Stop being big headed in the name of freedom of speach or whatever, everything has limits.

  18. Kabinda and Sinkamba are not Concourt Judges and neither are they Constitutional Lawyers. The Petetion is still b4 Concourt and its up to Concourt to make that declaration. The solution cannot be to leave this matter and move on becoz in 2021 Lungu will steal the elections in the same way. In fact why would we vote in 2021 knowing very well that our votes will not count and will be stolen? This Petetion must be properly disposed off to restore confidence in our electoral processes and Constitutional Democracy. The Petetioners must be heard at all costs no matter how long it takes. Let Lungu be declared the 6th President who stole elections in 2016 and refused to handover power to HH the Winner. History must judge Lungu. Lets not sweep this Petetion under the carpet. The truth will free all…

  19. Elections were rigged no wonder the petition was not heard. What can prevent the PF from stealing victory once more in 2021? PF is showing a bad example to the youths no wonder exam leakages are popular. However, just know that God is watching everything you do. You may think you are clever but time to expose you will come!

  20. We should clean up ECZ and the judiciary now before we go for 2021 elections. otherwise it will the same old story perhaps this time it will be himself or Sinkamba suffering loss due to a fraud electoral system, again we shall say ” forget it fox, let’s focus on the next election” for how long? Education must have a positive effect on us, were a system is appraised and feedback is given to correct the flaws. How can you do that without critically looking at the past performance? One thing that education does for many Zambians is to change our eating habits and lavish spending. SAMSUNG have recalled their latest phone because of batteries exploding, are they going to sit back and not investigate what they did wrong? How will they correct it if they don’t know what went wrong? For example,…

  21. This is what hunger and poverty can do…l don’t blame Kabimba and Sinkamba .Bamuselela kwakaba just like Mutati and the others. All Masebo and Kabimba should do is apologise…There is so much hunger and poverty in Zambia right now. It’s each one for himself and Christ for us all.

    Thanks

  22. For example, the case was dismissed on a technicality, when you are arrested by the police, the law says you must be charged within 48 hrs, but one will be held for more than a week. They are taken to court, why is the case not dismissed on a technicality due to time laps? They say justice has to be served. Why is this one different? We need to probe until we find answers.

    • Yeah with your MPs being encouraged to abscond Parliament, how do you hope to contribute to the FIXING of the stuff you are complaining about? Isn’t that what happened even last time when Constitution Amendment debates were taking place Parliament? One would have thought that that was the BEST OPPORTUNITY your Party had to FIX THINGS. But instead your misguided ‘cult’ leader (HH) intimidated all your MPs to stay away. The few times they attended some were DRUNK ON WHISKY and dozing during debates.

Now, yet again, Govt has promised to take the Constitution back to Parliament for FIXING. But UPND has already started their childish behaviour of running away from responsibilities their poor voters sent them to Parliament for. But, as usual, they will moan and b!tch about everything…

  23. kabimba you will never be president any where your time went up when sata died just continue asking for money from lungu who is smarter by far than you kabimba all you do just watch and see what serious men are doing are you not ashamed that even small parties are beating you that’s where zambias have placed you loud mouth

  24. UPND leadership and its blind followers are just wasting their time for whatever they are doing with regard the 11th August, 2016 elections results. What HH and his followers should bear in mind is that should they continue with their barbaric behaviour exhibited at parliament yesterday, its their constituencies that will suffer and NOT Edgar Lungu! This is barbaric behaviour at its peak! Hakainde has been rejected by people of Zambia and they will keep on rejecting him! HH will never rule Zambia with his tribal party. Its only GBM who is shallow minded who can claim that UPND is not a tribal party!

  25. The country is indeed tired of this noise. He stole my sweet!!!! Everyday sure. Let’s assume HH was declared winner, would he rule with the minority that he has in Parliament? How possible is it that he one from just 3 provinces? Does it make sense that in the constituencies where he lost that people voted for HH and MP was PF. Grow up you chaps. Clearly, the late Sata was spot on to refer to some as Under 5.

  26. Wether he is under 1, under 2 or under 15, let’s hear the evidence and deduce, no permutations like because I won more seats in parliament I am the winner.

  27. This thing is very easy. Court, this is what we believe. Evidence is 1,2,3,4 . Court decides. But PF caders want to decide on social media.ni vibanthu vabwanji ivi kansi

  28. @1.6 Ngolwa, UPND did not have any issues in that petition except one. The one issue is that UPND wanted President Lungu to hand over power to the speaker. Why UPND wanted that to happen we will never know but UPND knows. If UPND had any issues in that petition they can bring them out now, they can publish the whole petition so that the public know what the issues are. But they will never publish anything because there wasn’t anything apart from the speaker taking over. And if indeed there was anything in the petition UPND or their lawyers know fully well that they misplaced their priorities in a time bound case. Instead of pursuing the main petition they wasted their time pursuing the issue of speaker. Well, tell us, what were the other issues?

    • @Ba Terrible we will never know the issues until the petition is heard. Whether we ignore it or not it shall remian that the 2016 election was petitioned but the petition never heard. Such matters dont just disappear. And speculation will remain high. We may pretend to move on but those questions will linger on.

  29. “By the way, their boycott does not make sense, because the other day they were being sworn-in in parliament by the Speaker, who was sworn-in by the so called illegal President.
How to do accept the legitimacy of the Speaker who drew the same legitimacy from the President who you do not recognize as legitimate?

    • The funny thing is that their numbers are inconsequential and PF can pass laws without their attendance. The last election was mainly a two horse race, which means that UPND should have increased the numbers of their MPs significantly but they have only made insignificant inroads in areas that are not their strongholds.

    • You not even ashamed to say that ka. Isn’t this the same tired argument you !d!ots were giving when Edgar whacked you in 2015? He beat your kachema by 27000 votes and you were up hopping around in excitement like frogs in heat, proclaiming how UPND will whitewash Edgar/PF in the General elections this year (2016). Yeap, so what happened to the LANDSLIDE VICTORY we were told UPND/HH gonna score?

Now he (Edger) wallops your CULT LEADER by 100, 000+ votes and you still seem to be lost in the fog. Regurgitating the same shallow arguments and assessments of your electoral performance. One doubts if you even understand how to win in 2021. Three percentage points that separated the two (ECL and HH) is a lot of votes if you are that challenged in Math and you need help!

  30. You are advising a wrong person and party. HH has lost 5 times and in each time he has never conceded defeat nor has he congratulated the winner. Conclude yourselves the kind of person and leader he is. The question is – did the ECZ rig all the elections against him 5 times? I dont think so. Time to move on

  31. …contd….UPND, Hichilema and his lawyers should have known that no court would play around with the security of the nation by remivibg the oresident of a country from office on the basis of a mere petition by a disgruntled presidential candidate. I said it during the petition and I will say it again, supposing the petitioner was not HH but someone who came sixth, can any sensible court remove the President merely on the filing of a petition? Even if Hichilema was the incumbent president, the same argument would apply, he cannot be removed because Lungu or Kabimba cried foul. But yes in subsequent petitions because factors may come into play other than security alone.

  32. RECONCILIATION & MOVING FORWARD IS WHAT WE ALL HOPE FOR. BUT THERE ARE SERIOUS ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. THESE ELECTIONS WERE FAR BELOW WHAT ONE WOULD CALL A FREE & FAIR ELECTION. HH HAS ON SEVERAL TIMES REQUESTED TO MEET EL TO RESOLVE MATTERS BUT THE LATER HAS REFUSED. IT WAS EASY FOR SATA TO FORGET & MOVE FORWARD COZ MMD UNDER MWANAWASA HAD GIVEN HIM ALL THE FREEDOM & HE KNEW THAT WITH THAT FREEDOM, HE WOULD GO BACK TO THE PEOPLE TO RE-MOBILIZE HIS SUPPORTERS. THIS IS NOT THE CASE UNDER PF, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWING THE OPPOSITION TO GO ANYWHERE, NOT EVEN TO VISIT IMPRISONED SUPPORTERS. IS THIS THE RIGHT WAY TO GO?

  33. Kabimba is not my favourite politician, so his comments and sound advice to HH should come as a pleasant shock to.me and many other sensible citizens. Certainly Kabimba has exhibited much more intelligence and common sense than Hichilema. But Hichilema has one major problem, he is not a grassroots politician so he is entirely reliant on what he hears from his cadres because he cannot sift sense from nonsense. Now if you read the UPND bloggers you can understand his problem if these are the people he listens to and he has no ability to exercise his own judgement.

  34. HH and GBM are just dunderheads and will achieve nothing. The best everyone should do is to ignore them but the Police will deal with them if in their lunatic behavior they break the law. They will be taken to Mwaliteta’s home in chimbokaila.

  35. Well Said Mr.Kabimba. A man or woman with a beautiful soul needs to know when to STOP. ACCEPT ONES MISTAKES AND THOSE OF OTHERS AND MOVE ON AND,PLAN BETTER AND TRY AGAIN. THERE CAN NEVER BE SUCCESS WITHOUT FAILURE. This is also a RECIPE for SUCCESS AND GREAT LEADERSHIP.. If truly Mr. HH can lead this land with the type of heart and emotional he has exhibited can we surely survive?. .Your acceptance and moving on, right after the loss for your elections would have helped you gain more CREDIBILITY and induce TRUST in us the people of ZAMBIA. And People who have backed you to say Yes the elections were stolen as you claim. Not the way you are fighting, This is not right ,please stop it. We only have this ONE ZAMBIA, what will happen to our children and the generations to come. This seed…

  36. And People who have backed you to say Yes the elections were stolen as you claim. Not the way you are fighting, This is not right ,please stop it. We only have this ONE ZAMBIA, what will happen to our children and the generations to come. This seed of bitterness and forgiveness it LETHAL, THE TRUTH DOES NOT NEED YOU TO FIGHT FOR IT. IT SHOWS UP, WHEN IT”S READY. .JUST LIKE WHEN THE CALL OF NATURE RINGS ITS BELL. ONE JUST GOT TO GO TO THE TOILET. OR WHEN A BABY IN THE WOMB IS READY TO COME INTO THE WORLD. IT JUST COMES OUT,WHETHER THE WOMEN CARRYING IT IS READY OR NOT.. IT ALWAYS FINDS ITS WAY. THAT IS THE WAY GOD DESIGNED THINGS. SO PLEASE LET YOUR MPs WORK IN PEACE, AND YOU PLAN FOR 2021. IT IS WELL. ZAMBIANS WILL VOTE FOR YOU THEN. NOW LET MR .LUNGU , HIS CABINET AND YOUR MPs AND ALL…

    • “what will happen to our children and the generations to come.”???

They are going to be ENSLAVED again to PAY FOR LUNGUS THEFT!

Zambians had the chance to say NO to dictatorship and corruption. THEY FAILED!

Now their children and grandchildren will pay for their docility by living in poverty, disease and filth.

  37. More then 50% of the population rejected lungu despite him spending $10 billion on development. He still had to rig even with all state machinary working for him.

  38. WE HAVE ELDERS IN THIS COUNTRY SUCH AS DR. KAUNDA, WINA, MWAANGA, GREY ZULU, MUNKOMBWE, MAMA KANKASA, TRADITIONAL LEADERS, THE CHURCH & MANY MORE OTHERS. PLEASE SIT DOWN THESE TWO PEOPLE AND RESOLVE THE IMPASSE. THE FACT IS ECL WILL REMAIN PRESIDENT EVEN AFTER SUCH A RECONCILIATION. BUT GIVE THE OTHER PARTY A FORUM TO BE HEARD AND AIR THEIR GRIEVANCES. THIS WILL BRING HEALING TO OUR LAND WHICH IS CURRENTLY SERIOUSLY DIVIDED ON TRIBAL LINES. PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO HAVE ONE PARENT FROM THIS SIDE AND THE ANOTHER FROM THE OTHER END ARE REALLY FEELING THE IMPACT OF THIS IMPASSE. PLEASE HELP US TO LIVE OUR NORMAL LIVES BY RESOLVING YOUR ISSUES

  39. So does it mean MPs will be walking out whenever the vice president is in the house. She was a running mate to ECL so if they reject ECL then they have automatically rejected Veep.

  40. ALL OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN CHOSEN PROVE THEMSELVES. We all have well functional brains, eyes that see and body receptors that work well as ears that hear ,therefore we will judge and decide the fake of Mr. President Lungu and his people in 2021. As for those that other ordinary people who are not in- favor of President Lungu, why dont you FORM YOUR OWN POLITICAL PARTIES. WE KNOW MR. HH AND HIS PARTY AND WE KNOW WHAT HE CAN OFFER. WHAT ABOUT YOU ALL? PLEASE FORM THE PARTIES TO THAT YOU CAN WALK THE TALK. PUT YOUR ACTIONS AND MONEY WHERE YOUR MONTH IS.. WE NEED SOMETHING BROUGHT TO THE TABLE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. There’s no logic in referring to HH having only won in 3 provinces and yet got almost the same result with Ecl’s 7 provinces. It means pf struggled, has lost popularity and in those areas & should respect HH.

  42. If UPND isn’t careful it will lose the strides it has aquired over the fight on tribalism tag.I know its difficult to acknoledge a presidential winner from chawama compound but thats the way God works.UPND can just swallow the bitter pill, look to the bright future, and rally behind ELC.Zambia is bigger than an individual. Those who do not accept election results should not contest. The major lessons drawn from UPND loss is choosing a wrong running mate because of his money instead of voters magnet and allowing all PF non factors to join the band- wagon without screening them and sidelining the old members.

  43. I must support those who feel that the vote was stollen from the UPND. Edgar can only earn recognition if he allows the petition to be heard. As long as the petition remains unheard the PF are illegitimately in government and its time they stopped teasing the UPND. Edgar was so scared such that he failed to hand over power to the Speaker as the Constitution demands; he failed to allow the courts to act independently. Edgar will remain illegitimate as long as these issues remain uncleared. If Wynter was quoted correctly, then I am very disappointed with his statement. It shows that he wants to go back to the PF to eat; to steal from innocent Zambians who are so ignorant about what these chaps in government are doing. The UPND have a right to take their position.

  44. Do you have to force HH and his chola boy Gender based violence culprit to recognize ECL? No. It is their democratic right not to do so. However, ECL is a president of the Republic of Zambia and all who live in it are his subjects whether they recognize him or not. So for these two boys to be acting the way they are doing it is very childish. No wonder the majority of Zambians did not choose them to lead our great nation. For now just ignore them and let them continue in their under five politics. Zambia is greater than these tribal inclined parties.

  45. UPND will never and get the kind of support they received this year. They will only get less and less mainly on account of the selfishness and greedy exhibited by the two so called rich business men. If HH and his chola boy had behaved better than they have done then probably their party would have performed better than this year. But as things stand I doubt. PF are going to go flat out to make sure they perform to the expectation of the majority of Zambians. Those in the UPND are in “dununa reverse” they thought the song was composed for PF it was meant for UPND. UPND is going backwards and not forward as their slogan states. We do not know what shape UPND will take by the end of the year. We need opposition, but when you have the caliber of HH and his Gender based violent criminal it…

  46. Although I understand what Mr Kabimba’s trying to say, it’s naive of him to believe that ignoring clear misconduct by an incumbent President and the judiciary will facilitate a better future outcome. These are huge issues that need addressing immediately. Without resolution, we’ll just be sowing seeds of anarchy on a much greater scale in future. Right now, only a fool can believe that democracy exists in Zambia. What I discern myself is the ascendancy of lawlessness, survival of the fitness meaning misapplication and abuse of governance systems. What’s wrong with asking for justice? Zambians need to be careful about moving on, riding on the crest of fantasy. The future can’t be bright without correction of abominations!

  47. There will come a time when you people realise that what HH and GBM are trying to do to bring sanity in Zambia, when its too late. The petition was not heard and you people are celebrating that PF won and UPND should move on. As much as you don’t like UPND atleast if the petition was heard and thrown out l would have praised the Judiciary. What is happening to UPND will happen to you in the near future because what you are doing is creating a dictator in the name of Lungu, mark these words for future reference.

    • But who refused to hear UPND. ? They could have presented everything and say now let’s start with prereminaries.now what the upnd did was childish they hide the main case time finished on them so continue keeping your evidence stop morning.

  48. Kabimba and sinkamba thank you for giving this fools a friendly advise maybe they will gate it from you coz this are fools and they will be fools for ever.

  49. These guys lost why do we even ague because not even a single Upnd member has shown the evidence of vote stealing. No one will lisen to Upnd as all was already planned.and they promised loss will not be accepted stollen votes or not. So why are are wasting time with these bad lossers who did not have plan B

  50. YOU TWO JOB SEEKERS. JUST APPLY TO ECL FOR JOBS. THIS IS ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT IS KILLING DEMOCRACY IN OUR COUNTRY. THOSE TWO SHOOTING THEIR MOUTHS AGAINST HH SHOULD BE JOINING THEIR VOICES TO HIS BEING IN THE OPPOSITION TOO. IT IS LIKE SOMEONE TELLING THEM TO JUST ACCEPT A WRONG AGAINST THEM. FOR EXAMPLE IF PEOPLE SAID TO THEM JUST ACCEPT THAT YOU STOLE SOMETHING AND THEY KNOW THAT THEY DID NOT. WILL THEY ACCEPT? WORSE STILL IF THE JUDGES DONOT EVEN WANT TO HEAR THEIR CASE. HOW WILL THEY FEEL?

    • HH and GBM are also job seekers. They want to be president and vice of the republic of Zambia despite losing an election and only winning a minority of seats in parliament!

  51. We need to learn from Michael Sata, a true Patriot. He accepted outcome of elections even if others thought he didn’t lose. The same day he was declared loser, he went flat out campaigning 4 the next election. Its amazing that upnd is still wasting time for 2021. The only golden chance hh missed was when he pulled out of pf/upnd pact. When Sata died, he could hv BN the next President. I doubt if such a chance would ever come for him again, tht Ws a rare & golden opptunity 4 him. In any case hw could he hv won with 3 provinces?

  52. Ubupuba mu Zambia ati UPND should move on and accept defeat? Are you nuts…?! Lungu did not win the elections and you id10ts saying that fact. Infintu ni Lungu…what a load of puke, does Lungu know anything??

  53. The loud cry and urgent demand for the ‘New Constitution’ by UPND MPs in the last Parliament was very clear. They asked for it and have to face the consequences. Both GBM and HH are reported to be very rich, and have inconsiderately persuaded the newly elected UPND MPs for forget about their Allowances because I believe there are no Salaries for MPs, by encouraging from absconding from duty for which they wee elected. The fight should continue in Courts not in Parliament or on the streets. Too soon UPND MPs will become block without income having spent a lot on electioneering is GBM and HH going to be feeding them? I know it is GBM who influenced innocent HH to persuade the MPs to abscond the duty they already swore to perform. GBM is the only one hurting from the loss in the last…
