However, the road to Solwezi from the Copperbelt is in a deplorable condition and motorists are having challenges on the highway which is riddled with huge potholes. He stated that the construction of the road will enhance job creation to the local people who will be engaged in the construction.

He said the road will also contribute to the development in North-western province.

Chief Chibwika further noted that it was clear that government was devoted to improving road infrastructure and providing more secure transport for goods and passengers.

    • Zanis should stop trapping our humble chiefs and cause them to say things they don’t understand PF has no capacity to do the Solwezi road period,Sata commissioned and funded the same road twice his child lungu has also done the same from last year when nyama soya made him president after the mulungushi rock pangas stones and insults fiasco.Nothing sensible has happened, few weeks ago FQM took up the challenge, they don’t need Zanis to show what they have done in the short time.FQM can run the country more sensibly and fairly it shows in the weeks they have worked on the road, even the PF ministers had to rush to solwezi to try to claim the credit but our people know who is working.

  1. No need to thank Lungu for doing for the lousy job. Why is it the presidents decision when and where roads are done?
The delayed project is not a favor to the community, the tax payers of solwezi and Chingola deserves value for their monies worth.

  2. Its better late than never. The road is being worked on. It will be completed..! Learn to appreciate and understand what government is doing. Don’t expect quick completion of projects coz our economy is yet to recover.
