The ruling PF says its members should brace themselves for more nullifications judgements of its parliamentary seats following the High Court’s decision to nullify Professor Nkandu Luo’s election victory in Munali.
PF Lawyer Kelvin Bwalya Fube is commonly known as KBF said the party is likely to see more judgements of its seats nullified over the next ten days.
Mr Fube who is also Chairman for Elections said what is at play now is a struggle for parliamentary seats.He said all is not lost and that the party just needs to focus and strategize and execute its plans to perfection.
Mr Fube also stated that Professor Luo is still eligible to recontest the Munali.
“Under the new Constitution by elections will be held pursuant to Article 57 within 90 days of the Vacancy. In the case of Munali which we have lost or in the case of Nalolo (which we had nullified). ECZ is mandated to set the place, time and date of the by Election. Our Hon. Minister Nkandu Luo is eligible to stand and re contest. The court did not disqualify her from standing,” Mr Fube said.
“We are expecting more judgments in the next 10 days.As a legal team we did our best. We now have brace for by elections and/or Appeals. As Party we need to start preparing for these results with these factors in mind,” he said.Mr Fube said Lusaka and the Copperbelt seats must not be lost at all costs.

Presidential petition is closed shop unless you change the constitution. The constitution only gives 7days to lodge a petition after winner is declared and 14days only to dispose OFF the same.
