The Ruling Patriotic Front has maintained that it has no intentions to revert this country into a one party state as alleged by some opposition political parties.

PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya says the intention the ruling party was strengthen the multi party democratic dispensation because the provision of checks and balances under such a dispensation helps government to perform.

Mr. Bwalya said it is not possible to return the country into a one party state. He said it is for this reason that article 4 of the 1990 constitution was amended to pave way for the formulation of other political parties.

He said since it is not the PF who reverted the country to multipartism adding that it is impossible to turn the country into a one party state.
Mr. Bwalya added that even if the PF wanted to it is not possible.

He said attacking the judiciary does not mean that the ruling government wants to revert the country into a one party state.

  1. There is only one party with a wamuyaya constitution and it’s this same party which has the potential to turn to one party state.

    • When PF says something just know that they are doing the exact opposite, EL will be remember for turning our country upside down and the raise of PF thugs with no brains.

    • Off course you have no intentions to do that, I mean you have no choice coz even if you had the intentions, the pipo of Zambia can not allow you. By the way I am PF, just saying what is right

    • PF have not given this priest a job despite him disbanding his party to join them, shedding the “Father” title and blowing hot air from his empty head??

    • The opposite is true & that is PF bandits for you. Everything that violent & visionless PF says is literally hypocrisy of the highest level.
Its dununa reverse, oh sorry regrets. The violent & visionless PF of blind Lungu is reversing everything they say, all is pathological lies with short legs. Blind PF banned all buses & trucks travelling at night a week ago, but now it is been reversed backward. Whatever PF is yapping, believe the opposite!

    • Only a dimwit would think Zambia can go back to a one party state. Sadly we have a lot of those (dimwits) in Zambia even though they brag of being PhD’s No common sense whatsoever!

    • So he is telling us what he has no intentions of but won’t tell us always what they have intentions of.

      Thanks

    • If you want to prove that Zambia is already a one party state just watch deadNBC, you don’t need a political scientist to prove this iwe shonkonono.

    • PF Bodza!! …
      1. We are within Debt limit 24% of GDP and we cant be foolish to go beyond this
      2. We shall have cheap fuel from Saudi reducing pump price to around ZMW 5 per liter

      4. Load shedding will now be a thing of the past Maamba is now online

Imwe Banthu do I need to keep going …. I see why only in Africa you get people being sprayed with a Poison to be healed 🙁

    • This guy Bwalya is evidently not very bright. It’s not IMPOSSIBLE to revert to a one party state. All PF has to do is to reintroduce it BY FORCE, against the will of the people. In that sense it’s possible. Secondly, it can also be reintroduced gradually, without putting a label on it. You don’t have to officially call it “one party state.” But as long as you silence the opposition, you muzzle the press, you continue to manipulate the elections, you’re technically operating as a one party state. So it’s not what you say, it’s rather what you DO, that let’s people know they’re living in a one party state, with some token opposition to hoodwink the masses. Most dictatorships do that. They tolerate a certain amount of opposition, but do not hesitate to clump down hard on anyone who…

  2. He said “ATTACKING the judiciary does not mean that the ruling government wants to revert the country into a one party state.” There you have it folks, yesterday they called it criticism, today he has called it exactly what it is

    • Well spotted! In any case, trusting the PF to confirm their Unipist dreams is as meaningless as asking a lion if it wants to eat you. PF are a bunch of liars who have tricked Zambians over so many issues, from job creation to empowerment. Remember whose mottoes Donchi Kubeba and Dununa Reverse are?

    • Just sayin’~Frank Bwalya will be shocked to realize what he said about attacking the judiciary. Visionless PF for you.

    • Well spotted indeed. And that coming from the Deputy spokesperson of the party we can conclude that the attack on the judiciary was a well planned thing. No wonder every party member has had to comment on the same issue…daily statements.

  3. I like Frank Bwalya. But why does Lusaka times and ZNBC think that each time Frank Bwalya opens his mouth, it’s news.

  4. Zambians must stay alert and watchful. Lungu and PF can’t function in a democracy. You have already seen the damage they have done to democracy. No more freedom of expression. Dissenting views are suppressed. The media is throttled. Professional bodies (LAZ) bullied and intimidated. Please stay awake! Your president turns to revolting and repulsive dictators (Mogabe & Museven for advice. Does this give you assurance and peace of mind that Zambia will stay democratic?

  5. 2016 vote Mr Kudos Most Popular Patriotic blogger.

We are truly a democracy under PF. This party has protected us from the undemocratic hands of Kaponya (HH) and his minions.

  6. What the criminal P.F, say, & do are two different things.
I remember big K- Kambwili going on Sunday interview programme, & professing P.F & its officials are NOT Corrupt, & accused U.P.N.D, of being the dishonest party, even accusing H.H, of being the biggest fraudster who understands manipulating tenders & contracts.
WELL AS THEY SAY, THE REST IS HISTORY.
One day when P.F is no longer in power all their “Sheep followers” will shake their heads in disbelief, wondering “How did we allow this crooked P.F mob to dupe us”??
But then again, they may not, as Zambians seem to have a gene in their makeup, that makes them enjoy untold suffering.

  7. I feel pity on this demotivated son of the devil. All signs of lunacy are now manifesting like all his mentors who have left priesthood. He is mentally impotent already to know where certain actions are heading to.

  8. Of course the PF wants to return to the one party state. Why are they silencing the private media who are critizing their activities and decisions? Why are they threatening the judiciary when judgements do not come out in their favour? Why do they fall on anyone who opposes them like a ton of bricks? Why do they want to amend the constitution without the consent of the governed?

  9. Actually the signs of a one-party state are already there. Remember UNIP used to have National Guidance? Now we have a full-fledged Ministry that is coupling National Guidance with the Zambian staple, Religious Affairs.

  10. FRANK BALYA, YOU ARE PREACHING TO A NON REPENTANT CONGREGATION. JUST LEAVE THIS DULL PEOPLE ALONE. YOUR WORD WILL BE TWISTED TO CONFORM TO THEIR MARRED PERCEPTION.

  11. Of course the PF has not yet declared Zambia a one party dictatorship but in principle and in practice Zambia is already a brutal and fierce one party dictatorship. The evidence is there for all to see.

  12. This guy is an *****. I can’t believe we passed through the same high school. The moment Lungu got to top of PF,he came with a lot of BS like this one.

  13. Nobody is alleging ….all your actions do not recognize multiparty politics…you choose to win with or without elections…..we are in one party system right now……

  14. First, the independent media was silenced. Then the Church was silenced through donations. Then the Law of Association is under attack. And now, there is a petition to create more than one association of legal practitioners. Its in the actions for PF. Anyone with a sense of whats going on can see that there are no good intentions from PF. Anyone who sings criticism must be silenced at all costs. Watch the PF pace and its only three months into 5 years.

  15. But the Fatherless Zikas Bwanya also, is there any oral fimbi fimo that can ever cure this stinking oral dysentery of his sure!

  16. PF was founded by Sara a one party unit die hard supporter. They never change. In 1991 Sata clung to Unip until a week before elections. Lungu is a student of Satas one party mentality.

    • VERY TRUE @ 18, Wiseone!
Exactly what happened. I remember late Sata defecting @ that mammoth M.M.D, rally days before the election, as he was a man with an ear to the ground, & once he realised U.N.I.P was terminally ill, he jumped ship, surprising his “Dead beloved K.K” leaving K.K High & Dry in the process.
That was real Belly Politics if anyone needed a proper definition.

  17. He said attacking the judiciary does not mean that the ruling government wants to revert the country into a one party state.

See! one should have a good memory to be a successful lair, iyooo chiweno chakwe afaaula, ahuulula nkusa party secret.

  18. i indentify with you with Frank Bwalya attacking the judiciary does not mean that the PF government want to revert the country to one party state no am the judiciary is not immune to criticism no anyway we see from where we stand.

  19. My heart breed alot when I see father bwalya suffer when he campaigned for Edgar but he can’t even appreciate him. What kind of a person is lungu he can’t even assist bwalya with rentals because two weeks ago bwalya had been dragged to the court of law by landlord for not paying rentals for three months amounting to k4500, Shame!

  20. Priest turned kaponya. It is unfortunate that Bwalya becomes kaponya to survive in this economic malaise.
Anyway when priesthood started they were taking the children from the well to families. That was the number one qualification. Your family should be in the corridor of power or rich.
In today’s situation especially here in Zambia they always favor those boys who are actively participate in church affairs such as Alter Boys Club (ABC). They don’t normally choose on grade 12 results.
So when Fr. Bwalya became Chengelo Radio manager, he forgot his priesthood , he injoyed being a broadcaster.
If you are a priest they give chance to Persue other qualifications. Some they become Teachers, doctors etc depending on your Grade 12 results.
    I don’t know what career Fr. Bwalya…

  21. Sorry to mention that my ears and eyes( including the other remaining senses) are switched off when I hear of or see anything attributed to Frank.
