  1. Even though i am not a supporter of Islam, but it is far much better than Christianity because they do what they preach, Look at Zambia 25 years as a christian nation and yet its the most corrupt country in southern Africa and the leaders are nothing to talk about.

    • You are likened to a slave on a slave-ship pointing to a colleague slave that your chain is shinier than his!!
Wake up from your docility, folly and study about self!!

    • @bantu, whoever posted those pictures should be arrested for disrupting peace and causing tension among us. We had so many good things to comment on, but just those at OYCD has spoiled holidays.

    • @Nzelu – I am glad there are pirates in those seas because in the past there was a lot of illegal over fishing and dumping of toxic wastes…the Pirates are a blessing!!

  2. With the future hanging in a balance, all Nkandu Luo could was get her hands dirty, but those women marketeers are not even bothered.

  3. @Bantu, wait until those Muslims turn Zambia into a Somalia and then you can comment. The VP is too old for her to do her duties as VP. The killing of a Rwandese should be investigated fully and the killers should be arrested. We need to stop these kind of killings. How Zambians are able to make their surroundings so dirty is beyond belief. Good move ZNS.

    • You would think a country delivered to Christ a quarter of a century ago would be a safe haven. All the issues you wrote about would be nonexistent.

But, like the rain falls on Christian and no CHristian roof tops, as th he rain falls in Christian and nonChristian countries,, as the seasons turn without regard to which people sent more prayers to a deity than others, being a Christian nation doesn’t pay dividends. It is just a newspaper hat on the head of a clown.

  4. KAGAME sends assassins to kill refugees in Zambia and our dysfunctional Govt remains quiet. In RSA, Patrick Karegeya, a former spy chief in Rwanda living in exile in RSA was killed by KAGAME. Faustin Kayumba Nyamwasa, survived two assassination attempts in June 2010.

Nkandu Luo orders soldiers to pick garbage instead of working with Local Govt to have Lusaka City Council pick up garbage on a regular basis.

By next week the market will be filthy becoz we don’t have solid waste management systems in place due to a dysfunctional Govt. PF Govt has does not know their role in providing leadership.

We need serious revolutionary pipo in Govt, pipo who can provide practical solutions NOT wound-dressing activities in front of Cameras.

    • Instead of soldiers being used to protect our borders, they r now being abused to pick ifisoso & spray Army Worms. a clear misapplication of resources by a CLUELESS, VISIONLESS PF.

Next MWANAKATWE will take SOLDIERS to unblock sewer pipes, wash bodies at UTH, cut long grass etc.

  5. You go to use Zambia Army to clean the filthy markets INSTEAD of giving more power to the municipal council to control these markets…busy wasting funds on allowances and road contracts for $1 million for kilometer…why do not the Municipal councils co-partner with Zambia Prisons + RATSA and involve people on light sentences and community service to be doing this….whilst they are at it close those filthy markets.

    • How can Councils & other governmental institutions function, when they are staffed full of praise singing stone throwing Cadres, instead of qualified personel??
Just look @ Zambia from Boneheaded stone throwing Kampyongo, to this Fat Bellied taxpayer cash consuming clueless Nkandu Luo. She may be educated, BUT surely is as daft as a brush.
If ensure citizens you are preaching to change their behaviour, surely you should lead by example, i.e bellitician Luo should have donned Overalls, Gumboots, & Gloves, then helped shovel that sh!t, instead of travelling in an air conditioned S.U.V, wearing high heels, standing akimbo, while letting off her hot swampy breath.
IF ONLY MUGUFULI WAS ZAMBIAN, but then again Dozy Zambians would NOT have voted him in. Zambians prefer useless cadres like…

  6. MHSRIP…there is nothing greater than your life …if armed thieves come for your property, simply hand them what they want…there is no point wrestling with armed men when you have nothing to defend yourself with…property can be replace easily you can not!!

  7. What a depressing choice for “The Week In Pictures” picking on a few as if Zambia is about Lusaka and where politicians go! Not impressive for me as I believe Zambia had much more during the reported week to roll out more pages!

I may be ignorant of plants but picture 53 is surely not a cashew sapling but citrus!

  8. Zambia is one of the dirtiest countries in the world! Living in poverty does not necessarily mean you have to live in squalor. We seriously need to to take a look at our towns and cities cause this filth is abnormal.

  9. Zambians are generally dirt and have no safe of responsility. Even if you brought council employees to run the councils in Zambia they would fail because of the bad attitude of the common Zambian. They throw garbage everywhere, dont keep trash in their vehicles to dispose off later but dump the trash on the road. Generally, Zambians have a bad work life culture and should first change before talking about leadership. You should take up responsility and stop blaming other people

  10. Such filth is a good sign of mental disease in the citizens. And these filthy, smelly dirty people are wanting good standards of living? What a joke.
