The Nalubumba Bridge on the Kalomo -Mapatizya road in Kalomo district Southern province has been washed away.

Road Development Agency -RDA- Director Communications and Corporate Affairs Loyce Saili says RDA engineers from southern province regional office and the director of works for Kalomo district council visited site to assess the extent of the damage.

Mrs. Saili says the regional office is now working on establishing the full scope of the required remedial works and accompanying cost.

She has further called on motorists and road users travelling beyond the section of Nalubumba Bridge on the Kalomo -Mapatizya road not to use the bridge as it has been cordoned off.

Mrs. Saili says travellers who use the road should instead use Zimba although it will result in longer travelling time.

    • Let him and his people stop paying taxes, so that they build their country, that should have been your first line on your comment, it would have made sense.

    • @Saul Weston – let the government stop looting tax payers money so that there is enough taxpayers money to reconstruct bridges.

    • i feel very bad when you insut in Tonga regardless of your reasoning because it is not in the tonga pipo to insult. Only tonga women will understand this insult and dents the image of your party.

  2. Why is this loyce saili stuck at RDA for such a long time? Is she adequately skilled to venture into other territory? I mean she has been at RDA for more than 10 years same position. personally i can’t be stuck with an institution for more than 10 years same position. You can only accept that scenario if….

  3. “remedial works and accompanying cost.” What? Please charge the contractors and get them to repair these roads free. You should not be spending more tax on what has turned out to be bad faith.

  4. Ahh, so UPNDonkeys do appreciate roads too? You donkeys, stop making noise for people whom you don’t care for. Your constituency is hh and GBM only, the government will take care of all its people regardless of which part of the country they live in.

  5. UPNDonkeys, a few weeks ago I saw on CNN a road damaged by heavy rains in California USA and a woman motorist had her car plunge into a sink hole on the damaged road. Thank God she was rescued uninjured! But that is not the point I am making, the point is: are UPNDonkeys suggesting that PF builds roads in California too? I thought that was the responsibility of President Donald Trump?
