Unionised employees at ZNBC on Tuesday staged a sit-in protest over delayed payment of salaries.

ZNBC workers have not received their February salaries which they were supposed to receive on 21st February.

The go slow affected operations at both its Mass Media and Kitwe studios.

Employees refused to enter their offices demanding to be paid before they resume their duties.

Meanwhile the Zambia Union of Broadcasters and other Information Disseminators (ZUBID) President Chomba Yumbe says workers are now fade up with management failure to pay salaries on time.

He has wondered how management expects the workers to meet their daily needs with such continued delayed payment of their salaries.

  1. ZNBC has one thing in common with all other near dead govt agencies like RBC,Zamtel and the old dead corpse of Zambia Airways- all are rotten due to demotivated employees and clueless managers .Nepotism is also a big factor.

    • They can not succeed as long as Govt hands are controlling everything from the the cleaner to the GM to CEO. The govt should back off and you will see this working profitably. Imagine the BOZ who are professionals closed the intermarket bank and a finance minister Mtati issues a command to get it opened.

  2. Didn’t know ZNBC could have a slow down , they already are slow and useless, in photo they seem they are eating ok even though they have not been paid for a month.

  3. I wonder if they even pay taxes and napsa. A propaganda arm of government failing to pay demotivated employees. These are the same people that were busy singing and dancing dununa reverse. Can you dance now we see how that pangs out? A critical look at their books of accounts will reveal gross negligence to pay taxes and other statutory obligations. Imagine if this was a private company it would have been closed by now. Where there is no viosion people indeed perish.

  4. We don’t mind about you guys you supported your government with false news you never reported what was happening in our country you behave like robots you are not proud of your job now you are paying what you soul. to make matters worse I don’t listen to your radio or watching your useless tv with poor picture even if it goes through muilt choice digital signals. Your stage are sub standards look what other African broadcasting picture is perfect this is modern world but you are still in old set up change

    • How can I know his personality from tv ? Usually wen he’s reading my focus is the front of his trouser. He looks sooo good like he knows bola yapa zed !

    • Mum, what’s so hot about him? His looks are average; he’s body not stunningly or should i say not well chiselled; his smile too is ordinary… maybe, his personality?

  7. Cry Mother Zambia Cry …Cry all its people. The loved country of the lord has been divided by a few individuals. Those in power and there supporters do what they want to do at will and nobody should say Mfwee! This is even when there actions infringe on the voiceless majority who they sought votes from and swore to protect….Cry Mother Zambia Cry….Cry all its people.
There are a few seemingly intelligent individuals that have been employed to give you the positive side of every bad that happens in this country so that you are comforted and those that seem to say the truth or actually amplify your voice and your thoughts are seen as enemies and they tell you these are evil…..Cry inhabitants of mother Zambia Cry.

  8. even if they go on strike no impact .their news is boring one sded.sometimes I wonder are u saying that opposition leaders are not saying anything.everytime it is either PF deputy fimofimo or bowman lusambo awe sure please stop bringing the news too it is boring

  9. What goes round comes around. No sympathy with DeadNBCians. You asked for it. Now you are testing the bitterness of your own medicines. Noticed something. Only women/ladies can afford sponsored and/or subsidies meals. How do they manage? They sacrifice their bodies for that Nshima. They are irritates when invited to cover a meeting. They will pester for allowances even when they stay for 5minutes. They smile openly to any one (Males ) who looks to have potential to sponsor a meal. They are sis, Suka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they can stay away for the whole year. I wonder if anyone will miss them. Not me of course.

  10. Asking questions are truly pleasant thing if you are not understanding anything fully, except this post offers pleasant
    understanding yet.
