Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Dr. Buleti Nsemukila has disclosed that President Lungu is deeply concerned about the slow progress on various developmental projects in Luapula Province.

Dr. Nsemukila disclosed this on Friday last week during a Provincial Development Coordinating Committee meeting in Mansa.

He said President Lungu wants completion timelines for the three Chiefs’ Palaces in the Province becauase they have taken too long.

Dr. Nsemukila also disclosed that President Lungu wants to see progress on mineral exploration in the Province because the region shares boundaries with the Copperbelt and Katanga Provinces which have rich mineral deposits.

He said the Turro Oil exploration project is also close to the President’s heart and wants to know the progress on the exploration efforts so that timelines are known on the actions to be taken.

The Permanent Secretary further informed the PDCC members that President Lungu is equally concerned about the slow progress recorded on the FTJ University construction project in Mansa and wants to see working progress.

Dr. Nsemukila described the performance of the E-Voutcher system in the last farming season as a disaster though in his view it the best way to go if the operation is sorted out.

He said the President is concerned about the performance of the E-Voutcher system as the piloting for Samfya and Mansa was a disaster despite receiving 90 per cent of the Cards but only a few were activated.

The Permanent Secretary said President Lungu is also concerned about the Luena farm block development and wants progress timelines on the matter as he has demanded for a comprehensive report of what is happening on the ground.

  1. Kamba tells Police not to give UPND a permit for a rally in Lusaka, Police Oblige. Mumbi Phiri castigates Police for not doing anything to HH in Mongu for a motorcade incidence, in which HH was not even the driver and Police go all over HH’s home releasing tear gas which tear gas HH has helped to buy through payment of taxes. I am PF but I confess that this is a finished country. It is not necessary anymore in this century for Police to be using stone age colonial methods to silence opponents of the government. What are courts for if one has offended? You failed to do your job in Mongu and now you should try to make up to your masters. How cheap? Was HH the driver in Mongu?

    • Lungu, if at all you are genuine, fire Kanganja immediately. He is the one who put your life in danger in Mongu. He failed you, intentionally and deliberately. Find out why Kanganja did not command his officers to sweep the road for you.

  2. THE FAT POLICE MAN LOOKING ON IS NOT FIT TO BE A POLICE MAN. HE MUST START ATTENDING GYM SESSIONS ON A REGULAR BASIS. IN FACT ALL POLICE OFFICERS MUST ATTENDING GYMS.
