WEEKENS SCORECARD: Zambia close Spain camp with win

Zambia Under-20 closed their Spain camp on Monday with a big win.

The 2017 U20 AFCON champions beat Las Palmas B side 4-0 on the final day of Zambia’s two-week training camp on the Canary Islands.

Zanaco midfielder Musonda Siame and Lusaka Dynamos striker Conlyde Luchanga gave Zambia a 2-0 halftime lead after finding the target in the 12th and 28th minutes respectively.

Spartak Moscow striker Fashion Sakala made it 3-0 in the 57th minutes before Patson Daka of FC Liefering in Austria completed the rout in the 64th minute.

The result saw Zambia unbeaten in their three training games played in Spain after beating CD Tenerife B 3-0 last Wednesday and drew 2-2 with CD Marino on Friday.

Zambia leave Europe on Tuesday for South Korea ahead of the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup kickoff on May 20.

Zambia will be based in Jeju where they will play their Group C matches against Iran, Costa Rica and Portugal.

Beston Chambeshi’s side take on Portugal in their Group C opener on May 21.
