Can Zesco dowse City ‘Yamoto’

Share

Zesco United hope to confirm they are back on track in terms of winning ways when they visit ‘Yamoto’ City of Lusaka on Friday.

Promoted City will host Zesco in a scheduled FAZ Super Division Week 7 match at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Zesco head into the game a week after ending their brief winless drought when they beat Smouha of Egypt 1-0 in 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group C opening game in Ndola on May 13.

That win followed a three-match winless run that saw Zesco lose to Napsa Stars, and collected draws against Green Buffaloes and Nkana.

Meanwhile, a win on Friday will also lift Zesco to top spot replacing Lumwana Radiants only on goal difference for at least 24 hours before the latter hosts Nchanga Rangers.

Zesco are 3rd on 11 points, two behind Zanaco and three points adrift of Lumwana.

A win will also be a big boost to take into their next Group C match on Wednesday away in Sudan against Al Hilal Obied.
