  1. I honestly can not read Bemba or local languages or know them meaning of them,

Since I left Zambia my accent and reading ability of Zambian language is gone.

I feel like a white person trapped in a black body if I am being honest.

Could someone tell me the meaning of those Zambian word above, very slowly ofcourse in English?

I completed my Phd this year

    Thanks

    • I would gladly advise you to visit Michael Jackson’s doctors, they will help transform into a zombie.

    • Dull, dull, dull, Phd illusionist…in short you can not read simple words invented buy white people in white bodies. imposter!!!!!

    • The best is to ignore “Dr” Mushota Chimfwembe, what ever he\she writes. By commenting on his\her posts, you make him\her big headed and gets the attention he\she seeks!! Please dont comment anything on his\her post!!

    • LT,could you please for a day or two block this thing called Mushota. It detracts civil debate. We are grateful to LT for this platform. Congratulations to Aka, we need more Zambians to document past history.

    • Boasting Baba. I’ll send you a message telling you their meanings soon. Let me consult the dictionaries available

    • @ MUSHOTA I believe you, you must have a PhD. You are the blogger with the most wicked sense of humor on this blog. All these guys criticizing you don’t get it!!

    • I understand she Mushota has a PhD in Erection! She is now recruiting for practical clinical trials! Any subjects who can volunteer, please contact LT.

    • Mushota loves it when people respond to her out of the world thinking. That’s her intention and unfortunately you fall for it

  2. Well done Prince Aka, we look forward to reading that book , we are confident it will not only be interesting but equally informative. To the Mwine lubemba , we say congratulations for the honour and recognition given to you as a befitting giant to grace the book launch event.

  3. @ Seratonin

Mandela named his 1st & only son Lewanika after this man. (Magkatho Lewanika Mandela – born 1950, died 6 January 2005 aged 55.

He was appointed one of the Honorary Presidents at the 1st congress that formed ANC in 1912 (South African ANC, the oldest liberation movement in Africa).

That’s how great this man was.

  4. Really if we don’t write books as zambians other nationalities will write for us and distort all good information we need to know , the only problem we africans have is not to spend time to read this is a bad culture it deprives us the knowledge which would give us forward thinking and the knowledge of history.
You may guess how non zambians know our nation than you zambian yourself it is interesting how we bother less about what is important.
We need to forget about much of the politics of hate and concentrate on free thinking and personal development even as individuals.
What I do know is that there is power in unity united we stand but divided we fall that is a fact .
Africa has been plundered and fragmented by those who wanted to rule us and they succeeded in their mission and…

  5. Brilliant. This is one of those rare moments the term ‘gracing an event’ is used correctly.

  6. Well done Dr Aka. I now understand why you have been quiet. Brilliant selection of the Guest of Honour, my King His Majesty Kanyanta Sosala Kanayanta Manga. As an ardent reader of history i am so looking forward to the event that I am applying for a day off at work. I have read and read and read to try and find out the real benefits King Lewanika brought to his people and the potential impact of his Scottish links to his people and their decendants. may be, just may be Dr Akashambatwa has tried to explain since he is a Prince of Barotseland.

Writing is the only way to protect our future as a people especially if it is founded on truth and sincerity. Bravo Doc.

  7. If there is no Mushota’s post then there is no news wealthy commenting. She is a good and positive contributor on LT debates. Personally I like her

  8. About time… There is no other Zambian like Lewanika, that I can tell you. For those who don’t know he is the first indigenous Zambian (if not African) to form a political party which was the genesis of all other political parties that followed including ANC, UNIP, etc.

Kaunda has tried everything to erase this man and his people from the history books of Zambia – and this is no slander bashing on the ‘great’ man KK, it is fact (not alternative facts). I’m glad Bo Aka has decided to write a book about Lewanika before he dies… maybe, and just maybe the truth will finally come out and tomorrow’s generation will appreciate just how great this man was. Please make it available in electronic format too as well so we can buy online.

I wish I was in Zambia, I was going to…

I wish I was in Zambia, I was going to attend no doubt.

On a tangential note, how sad that great minds like Aka are not the ones ruling the country like Zambia; instead we sycophants like Mumbi Phiri walking the corridors of power… no wonder we are still stuck in the 10th century in terms of progressiveness. Aka, Arthur Wina and a few others founded MMD with very good intentions and it was hijacked by the thieves of Chiluba and his minions who only cared about their pockets and bellies instead of sacrificing for their country and future generations.

    Great work Bo Akashambatwa.

  10. This is the most positive news so far this year. And it is good it is coming from our traditional rulers and actually from 2 of the most powerful royal families in Zambia. Not these politicians who always see nothing else but tribe, tribe, tribe and tribe. I will enjoy my dinner tonight!!!!

  11. I for one like the choice of Mwine Lubemba, Chitimukulu, the Litunga of the Bemba speaking people. This is a great honour to a great man, (Chiti mukulu), for the right purpose. National unity. For political expediency and selfish motives, someone came in between the Lozis and the Bembas purely to advance propaganda of hatred between the two tribes. These tribes produced gallant sons to keep the British realize that they were mere settlers on the land. Sons like Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe. What a betrayal that Kapwepwe had to die as if he was a mere ward chairman, when he was a force to recon with. What a shame to hear that Nalumino Mundia has died in a scheme of things. These gallant sons worked together tirelessly and to control power some one tricked them into death. Very sad. These sons…

  12. Very sad. These sons used their education to liberate Zambia from colonial oppression. Today the information and digital generation is using education to advance hatred and tribalism. What a shame. This is a big lesson and an opportunity to Forster unity i wish Emmanuel Kasonde was alive. MHSRIP.

  13. Uyoyange wino wino Akashambatwa wa Imutakwandu Godwin Lubasi Wamung’ungo Akabiwa Mbikusita Lewanika. Mwana nde ki nde!

  14. Continue to put cracks in Zambias Nationalism at your own perilous slope. Since when did Zambia have Kings and princes? We know that the knighted LEWANIKA was was given uniforms to wear at Kuomboka, a yearly excercise to escape the wrath of nature. The British could not even help with creation of dams or irrigation. Insread they fabricated documents that sowed the seed of discord today . Western province ,not Barotseland is a n integral part of Zambia .It would have been more telling if all the KINGS of Zambias tribes were invited.

  15. U people who always post evil things that hate us who feel to b proud Zambians wats wrong with u?it’s too much,hw I wish u were born in Iraq so that u can know wat peace is in a country. Pliz change 4 de sak of next generation.
