Wydad test goal-shy Zanaco

Zanaco seek their first Group D win in the 2017 CAF Champions League when they host Wydad Casablanca of Morocco at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Wednesday.

The Bankers are currently third heading into match day two of the Champions League on 1 point, two behind second placed Wydad, after drawing 0-0 away to leaders Al Ahly of Egypt in Alexandria on May 13.

Al Ahly took command of Group D on Tuesday after a 2-0 away win in Cameroon over Cotonsport.

But Zanaco have been goal shy despite their unbeaten run in this years Champions League where they have picked up four draws and one win and scored only two goals.

That lone victory came on February 18 when they beat APR of Rwanda 1-0 away in Kigali in the final leg of their preliminary round match to advance to the pre-group stage by the same margin.

Meanwhile,Wydad return to Zambia season after they encountered Zesco in last years group stage winning 2-0 in Rabat and drawing 1-1 in Ndola and will be determined to stay unbeaten against Zambian opposition in 15 years.
