Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili
Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili says selling of anointing oil by some clergy is bad because it brings idolatry in the church.Reverend Sumaili says anointing oil is Biblical but selling it is not because the word of God is free for all.

Speaking during an installation service at Maranatha Church in Kitwe , Reverend Sumaili quoted the book of Isaiah 10 verse 27 which says burdens can be lifted through the anointing oil.

She said some clergy have abused the anointing oil by selling it to make money and has called for the practice to come to an end.The Minister said her ministry will not allow false gospel to continue being preached in the country.Reverend Sumaili said true gospel is for the deliverance of life, edifying people and prospering the nation.

And during the installation of Senior Pastor Gaity Simuusa of Maranatha Church, Reverend Sumaili urged the man of God to preach the truth and love the congregation.Giving a prayer during the service, Reverend Sumaili said true gospel is about God and the Bible should be the guide to all the clergy.

Meanwhile, Reverend Simuusa pledged to work with all civic authorities to ensure he contributes to national development.Reverend Simuusa further said he will respect the relationship between the state and the church and will endeavor to diligently work for the nation.

  1. please stop attacking our Chief Injustice, especially those from the rulling party, kkkkkkkkkkkk, as long as the appointing authority is Jameson changwa Lungu ,forget about justice in this country.

    • It’s ok for shops to sell anointing oil because they are in business of buying and selling. Also customers are free to buy or not. In the churches that sell anointing oil congregants are persuaded to buy in order to receive their deliverance. If one is desperate for sonething and the preacher says yoy have to buy oil then you have not choice. This is unbiblical because the church should give freely “freely you receive and freely you give”. At the end of the day people put faith in the oil than the word of God.

  2. Minister of religion??? where on earth? Only when someone is drunk with jameson. Church is church, no ministries. Can you quote the bible and tell us where the bible talks about a minister of religion?
    Stop mocking God.. Mulenwa bwino.

  3. Wasting tax payers money. Give the money to the opharns and homeless. Let the paster and bishops run the church. They are the ones appointend to hear from God and speak to gods people.

  4. I AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. BUT I DONT SUPPORT THE HON. MINISTER. SHE IS A MINISTER FOR RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS ETC INCLUDING FOR HINDUS, MUSLIMS, SHINTOISM, LENSHINA, KIMBANGUISTS, MORMONS, MOONIS ETC. AND ZAMBIA IS A CHRISTIAN NATION “WITH TOLERANCE” TO OTHER RELIGIONS. SO IF ACCORDING TO MY RELIGION, ANOINTING OIL SHOULD BE SOLD, ISNT THE MINISTER DENY ME MY HUMAN RIGHT TO ACT ACCORDING TO MY CONSCIENCE?

  5. When are Zambians going to say ENOUGH of this NONSENSE!!!

Do we really need a whole Ministry to come up with such rubbish?

This is a Government that is DRUNK on its power own and COMPLETELY CORRUPTED by greed and s.tupidity. What value is this dull cardre providing to the Zambian people.

  6. Ba Minister of Religious Affairs, sporting Brazilian or Indian or Venezuelan weave. Does she know how that hair found itself on the market? This real human hair is sold by poor people. The poorest of the poor have to sell their hair to factories. Meanwhile God’s own child Godfridah Nsendemuka Sumaili dons it !! we hoped that you would be above board but you are just another hook….er!

  7. Islam categorically rejects Jesus as the savior. Hindus and what and what not also deny similar claims. By definition that is false gospel being spread in the country. “The Minister said her ministry will not allow false gospel to continue being preached in the country”.

Are we gonna kick out the other religions? Prophet Bushiri was right about you. You are very anti-christian while letting other religions prosper at the expense of Christianity.

You are doing a great job minister. The dark lord is well pleased with you. Keep on putting on restrictions on Christians.

  8. the problem is, what authority has this woman to challenge people’s fITH. THE REGULATION OF CHURCHES DOES NOT MEAN A MINISTER SHOULD TELL PASTORS WHAT DO DO, OR WHAT TO PREACH.
Olive oil is sold everywhere, is that idolatry? which shop will sumaili go and get olive oil for free?
does she know what she is talking about? sum ail and her ministry are ANTI Chrsit. Thats all. if her ministry was there in the time of the LORD jesus, she would tell the LORD not to do the following ever again:

    1. multiply 5 loaves of bread and two fish
    2. mix the saliva with mud and smear it on a blind man’s eyes
3.getting money from the belly of a fish to pay tax
4.not to accept the offering of the poor widow
4.jesus seating down with the sinners eating and drinking
the list is endless. Sumaili and…

    • undesrtand her well , shes not against annointing oil, she is against selling annointing oil. FREELY YOU RECIEVED FREELY FIVE, THATS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS then God HIMSELF will prosper you

  9. You enter an international Cathedral. Holy candles are being sold at an affordable price. As per customary practice, you buy one for lighting before leaving Cathedral. You take one with you for souvenir or whatever. Where is the problem? It is not advisable for Government to interfere in the affairs of believers and adept people. The believers know best. Or is Government pretending to know best?

  10. Nindalama za anyoko? Let me buy my oil if I want . Do not force your opinion on others as it remains just that: an opinion.

  11. Hazaluza Hagain and his Under Five Card supporters. You will never see him in State House. Too immature like his supporters to be in office.
