Saileti not bitter after Nkana sacking

Share

Zeddy Saileti says he is not bitter after being fired as Nkana coach on Wednesday.

Saileti has been replaced by Nkana legend Beston Chambeshi who has left Lumwana Radiants.

Nkana have 16 points, four behind Super Division leaders Lusaka Dynamos, after 11 matches played.

“This is football. I do not regret anything. I have not failed,” Saileti said hours after receiving his dismissal letter.

Nkana posted four wins, four draws and three defeats under Saileti who was promoted at the start of the season.

Saileti took over from Aggrey Chiyangi who was indirectly fired before being made club technical director.

And speaking privately in his farewell message to players, Saileti urged players to remain committed and support his successor.

He also urged players to win Saturday’s Kitwe derby against town rivals Power Dynamos.

  1. An excellent and touching speech..Life still goes on. Better opportunities are still coming your way Saileti, it’s just a matter of time. When one door closes, another opens to complete life’s cycle. Wishing you the very best in your future endevours. But Power will win the local derby by 2 goals to 1.

  2. Chambeshi must take over the Zambian job too and must go with his U20 as the New Zambia National Team. Failure to do this will be disastrous for our football at the national level. Please don’t delay! If Zambia loses two games it will be late to recover.

    • What can kids do when playing against men (senior team) .. Although they played well against their U20 opponents, they can do better at senior level.
