“I’m pleased to inform you Mr Chilembi Laughter that council has decided to honour you with a high cost residential plot as a sport man for having shown outstanding performance in sport in the district of Chingola and the nation at large,” Tembo said.

“On behalf of Chingola Municipal Council and indeed on my own behalf I wish to congratulate you for your efforts, commitment and dedication to sport and football in particular.”

Chilembi who is now a coach played for Caps United in Zimbabwe, Power Dynamos and National Assembly before retiring.

  1. Why honouring Laughter who never played in the council sponsored side and leave alot of players that played in Chingola Leopards Fc.I dont understand your thinking ba mayor, the council has left Chingola Leopards Stadium in diplorable state, the team has no bus and you go on the media that Chingola council has honoured Chilembi thats hypocrasy Mr.Tembo.The same way you have managed to organise a plot for Laughter is how you should organise the resources for the club,we want to see the team fully sponsored like Kitwe United, Mufulira Black Pool and many other council sponsored sides.

    • The council governs the entire town not just Chingola leopards. What you’re saying is like asking the president to only recognise ruling party cadres and no other citizen

  2. Shame footballers please get land while you still active not gawapwa you start putting pressure on mayors that give a plot. Think of it where are you going to get money to build.

  3. This is the way forward, though I’m waiting for my honours. In my case I even had to write to the Town Clerk to blow my own trumpet. Congrats your Lordship and Mr Chilembi!
