Nkana suffer setback in Choma

Green Eagles ended Nkana’s three-match winning run on Saturday following a 2-0 home win in Choma.

The result left Nkana still without an away win over Eagles since the Choma side made their top flight debut in 2008.

Collins Mulenga put Eagles ahead in the 36th minutes and they later benefited from a Diego Apanene own-goal in the 47th minute .

Eagles are 11th on on 23 points while Nkana dropped from 4th to 5th on 25 points and are nine points behind leaders Napsa Stars who beat struggling Kabwe Warriors 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on the same day.

Chitosi Mukuma scored the game’s lone goal in the 44th minute to hand Napsa their fifth successive win.

Napsa are now unbeaten in 11 successive FAZ Super Division matches since Buildcon beat them 1-0 away in Ndola on May 14.

And Power Dynamos have moved to 2nd place for at least 24 hours after a resounding 3-1 home win over Lumwana Radiants in Kitwe.

Luka Lungu scored a brace in the 8th and 77th minutes that sandwiched Alex Ngonga’s 44th minute goal.

  1. Kabwe Warriors FC, pull up your socks Guys…Nichani chavuta kansi…Kabwe Warriors FC is known thru ‘out the world so lets improve by winning the next game we can do it…

  2. Was need to buy quality and tested players pa top and mu mid, na one imposing centre back. Also, bring back Chintu. How do you completely get rid of Chintu and leave Happy Sichikolo…!?

  3. Ba nkana we have told u already, u are not spending money on buying good players but instead u have been bringing players who cannot even make a bench. Most of those guys who are playing have past their form and the coach is still using them. for now just forget about dreaming for the 13league title becoz it is not going to be easy looking at the current crop of players we have. Look at Lusaka dynamos, zesco buildcon zanaco and power dynamos. the problem at nkana is that u don’t want to spend money to buy good players but u are dreaming big, that will very imposibe

  4. The other matter is the executive committee. This committee will never put the team together because its inexperience and too much experiments mean they do not know football administration. As long as it is not changed forget about Nkana winning a league. I have said before. Imagine the coach complaining failure to clear the player after assuring the coach who had put him in his game plan only to be told on the eleventh hour that the paler is not eligible to feature. Shame.
