Green Eagles ended Nkana’s three-match winning run on Saturday following a 2-0 home win in Choma.
The result left Nkana still without an away win over Eagles since the Choma side made their top flight debut in 2008.
Collins Mulenga put Eagles ahead in the 36th minutes and they later benefited from a Diego Apanene own-goal in the 47th minute .
Eagles are 11th on on 23 points while Nkana dropped from 4th to 5th on 25 points and are nine points behind leaders Napsa Stars who beat struggling Kabwe Warriors 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on the same day.
Chitosi Mukuma scored the game’s lone goal in the 44th minute to hand Napsa their fifth successive win.
Napsa are now unbeaten in 11 successive FAZ Super Division matches since Buildcon beat them 1-0 away in Ndola on May 14.
And Power Dynamos have moved to 2nd place for at least 24 hours after a resounding 3-1 home win over Lumwana Radiants in Kitwe.
Luka Lungu scored a brace in the 8th and 77th minutes that sandwiched Alex Ngonga’s 44th minute goal.
Joshphat Kasusu scored Lumwana goal in stoppage time of the first half.
Power rose to 26 points for at least 24 hours before 3rd placed Lusaka Dynamos’ home game on Sunday against promoted Real Nakonde.
Dynamos also have 26 points heading into Sunday’s game..
