PATRIOTIC Front (PF) deputy secretary-general Mumbi Phiri has described the first one year of the ruling party’s second term in office as transformative and successful.

And Mrs Phiri said has urged party members countrywide to remain united and focus on supporting President Lungu’s development agenda for Zambia.

She said in an interview yesterday that the PF’s transformative approach towards development is a step in the right direction that should be supported by all well-meaning Zambians.

“We have seen how Zambia has transformed into a better place within the few months that we have been in power. We can boast of so many development projects that have been commissioned to benefit Zambians. This is just the beginning of better things to come,” she said.

Mrs Phiri said PF is transparent and democratic with sound ideologies that have continued attracting people from different political parties to join the party.

She said the party will not be distracted by unscrupulous people whose desire is to see its downfall but will focus on delivering better services to the people through implementation of pro-poor policies and programmes.

Mrs Phiri urged PF members to remain calm and avoid reacting to insults from expelled members.

She said no individual is bigger than the party and that any behaviour meant to dent the name of the party will not be tolerated.

Mrs Phiri has thanked Zambians for their unwavering support in the past one year and has assured them of more development.

And PF youths in Lusaka have commended President Lungu and the government for aggressively implementing campaign promises in the last one year.

Provincial youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba lauded President Lungu for his dedication aimed at ensuring campaign promises are expeditiously implemented in line with the PF manifesto.

“When the President took office, we were still recovering from the loss of PF founding President and head of State Michael Sata, may his soul rest in peace.

But since then, we managed to move as one and we have seen the kwacha performing well, mealie-meal and interest rates have also reduced,” he said.

  1. Efyashalako pa Zed. Licking boots. There’s no room for critical thinkers mu PF. Just hero-worship.. #mediocreminds

    • This woman cannot say anything else. Logical question do you ever hear her mention their shortcomings and where they need improvement? apparently to her under the PF everything is perfect. Hospitals have medicine and equipment for most ailments , we have a strong and burgeoning middle class, Prices have significantly dropped, maize prices are pleasing to farmers, we have a proper water and sewer reticulation everywhere you go in ZM, We are no longer dependent on Donor Funds, Education standards are high in all schools and the Government has a robust system to ensure every child get quality education…. etc, for her its all happening. Madam stop praising Mediocrity.

  2. Keeping someone at mukobeko has benefitted our economy greatly s well as restored peace countrywide. If you want to see hh stay longer at mukobeko to bring our inflation to 1 and exchange rate below 3usd press Red.

    • “We can boast of so many developmental projects which have been commissioned !” What a joke the only commissioned projects that are currenty running properly is the Maamba and Itezhi power stations which the MMD put in place ! The kwacha is stronger because it is being manipulated. Mielie meal prices have come down because there were good rains and the farmers’ had a bumper harvest. Under your regime we have seen the worst clamp down on freedom of speech, freedom of gathering, freedom of press, freedom of expression ……so no matter how many more things you “commission” the country will never be transformative and successful if you don’t allow the citizens freedom !

  3. And pf youth in lusaka commended president lungu for implementing campaign promises.
Well the pipo in kabwe when mulungushi textile mills were PROMISED to be reopened and PROMISED jobs, wpuld beg to differ. Msjority of pipo in zambia arevstill waiting for the PROMISED fuel at 5kr litre and the Kitwe youth who were PROMISED the slag hill and those pipo that were PROMISED 1million jobs per year. Why are farmers up in arms about the maize price when a pro poor government arm sets it buying price ar unsustainable levels Do we need to go on Everybody is entitled to support their party but lets put some truth in it rather than constant spin
If a gevernment is successful in their implementation its not necesssary for cadres to continually praise .actions speak louder than words. Another one…

  5. Read the post by the head, this is the cunning way manipulation occurs, most pipo wpuld push red to disagree wth him but by rat cunning he has asked pipo to push red if they agree with him. Whether you pussh red or green u support his silliness. Do you have a time frame when the kwachwa will be 3 to the us $ so i can put in my diary and constantly remind you.
