Minister of Information and Broadcasting Kapamba Mulenga says the government is overwhelmed with the response by the general public on the ongoing sale of the Top Star decoders that will ensure the migration from analogue to digital television.

Ms Mulenga says her ministry is reliably informed that the reduction in the price of decoders from K199 to K99 has further enticed the public into buying the decoders.

The minister , who is also Chief government spokesperson, it is for this reason that all prospective Top-TV users in the country should ensure that they register their personal particulars at points of sale to avoid fraudulent activities.

She said there are some unscrupulous individuals who are using this opportunity to sale fake Top- TV decoders hence the need for Zambians to produce their particulars during purchasing.

Ms Mulenga says an individual will only allowed to purchase one decoder using their personal identification cards when obtaining the decoders.

Government hopes the majority of citizens along the line of rail will acquire decoders from Topstar outlets by the October 1 deadline for analogue TV switch off , says Ms. Mulenga.

    • Because Muntu men treat them like dogs.
By bleaching themselves, they can trap a white man.
Go to Manchester, Bedford, Sheffield and Luton and see the way Zambian women are adored by white guys!

    • Its an inferiority complex- to want to look like the white person. It’s also the same reason why they adopt European names. To hide their africanness. At least Mushota still uses her African name in Scotland a white man’s country

  1. Silly girl she sold ZNBC to the Chines for an EXIM Bank loan thinking they have clinched a landmark deal….really sad…simply brainwashing our children!!
