  1. Well, where is Longacres, Kabulonga, Mandahill area, Arcades area, waterfalls area, UNZA area, Cairo road, where is the newly constructed society business park, where is Levy mall, Waterfalls area etc? Some Zambians are so negative about their country.

  2. Good video if you look at it objectively though in some instances comments were negatively overboard. For a third world country we’re not doing badly.Could be worse in other countries. We love a bit of mad and some pot holes here and there. They serve as speed traps and add some driving experience and excitement. I just love it when I visit my Zambia away from the concrete jungle. Overall no one can dispute the fact that Zambia is naturally an amazing country destination though we could do better.

  3. Rubbish! is this all Zambia has to offer? If you’ve not traveled the world you will always believe that things like potholes are only found in Africa.. New York has plenty of them

  4. What is the purpose of this video? Either the narrator is quite naive or ignorant….or probably both. First of all, as other comments have pointed out, the video is not representative of the road network in Zambia. The inclusion of recent massive road infrastructure upgrades in Lusaka and Copperbelt would present a more balanced view. Also, when it comes to chaotic driving, Lusaka is nothing like other African cities such as Kampala, Nairobi, Dar, Lagos….so for the author to be shocked by the maneuvering of Zambian drivers shows a bit of ignorance. I can quite comfortably drive along Lusaka’s Cairo, Cha cha cha and Lumumba roads. I can’t say the same for the African cities. Would rather jump on the boda boda (motor cycle taxis) in the other African capital cities to be able to bit…

    • Noone said the video represents the entire roadnetwork in Zambia.
“so for the author to be shocked by the maneuvering of Zambian drivers shows a bit of ignorance.'” What ignorance is being shown when you capture drivers negotiating any chaos?
You can comfortably drive along the roads in Lusaka because you are familiar with the chaos. The producer comes from a country where no such things happen so for him this is strange.

  5. They say seeing is believing; here you have it what we have been telling you; even Livingston is run down; no wonder many are going to Zimbabwe; Look at where we walk t view Vic falls? Grass is rarely cut compared to the Zimbabwe side; the statue of Livingstone is well maintained on the Zimbabwe side too; and you think discerning tourists will come to such a country? no ways; but where has PF taken the billions of dollars of borrowed money?

  6. Now what is the way forward, we have to do something about those challenges , you dont just look at them and wag your head but think of the solution , it is like your house if you sport a leak in the roof you should find some sealer to seal the leak off !
Yes third world country yes indeed but all the now first world countries were once third world countries however have developed through years which zambia can do as well.
Africa has a pool of resources which has infact worked for other nations beyond the african borders , at home in zambia we have copper what do you get from it pot holes and senta in kankoyo and poluted water .

    • Nothing wrong with looking at yourself in the mirror. We live this chaos daily in Lusaka and it can really take you one hour to move from south-end to north-end of Lusaka on Lumumba road. Very annoying indeed!

  7. Thats what they do when they come to Africa. They want to be taken to down troden places and take pictures of those places and say look, this is Africa. Only those who dont travel can be deceived. I have seen NY, Washington, Chicago, Atlanta, Milwaukee and other cities in US. Have been to Malaysia Kuala Lumpar, Thailand, Dubai, Qatar and other places; Asia, Africa, Europe, US. I have seen waste places in all these countries.

Problem with Africans is when people travel to these Western countries they take pictures of beautiful places just to come and show people back home. On the other hand when these whites come to Africa they take pictures in dirty run down places to speak negatively about Africa. They avoid all the good places. SHAME. Zambia is beautiful and we are going there…

  8. Real Development is all about uplifting living standards for the rural folk, its not all about malls and parks its about taking care of the common man and his way of life.

  9. ..foreigners love filming such videos in Africa and someone who has never been to Africa and Zambia in particular perceive it as such..just to make us look so inferior… .they wont film places like independence road… areas around state house ..no
