South African President Jacob Zuma will visit Zambia on October 12th and 13th, 2017.

The state visit will be preceded by the Joint Commission of Cooperation and a business forum for Zambian and South African businesses.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has disclosed this in Pretoria, South Africa.

Mr Mwamba said the state visit will cement the good relations between South Africa and Zambia considering that President Zuma recently officiated at the Agriculture and Commercial Show.

He said Zambia is one of South Africa’s leading trade partners noting that trade volumes between the two countries amounts to 3.8 billion dollars annually.

Mr Mwamba said this when he hosted Minister of Finance Felix Mutati at the Zambian Mission in South Africa.

    • @Ndobo, what do you mean, president of what?
To me Emmanuel is just competing with Mukwita. Just because Mukwita spent embassy money to buy air ticket to go polish Edgar’s shoes, Mwamba also have to find reason to go fold Edgar’s bombasas.

    • @1 Ndobo & 1.1 Nostradamus, Don’t you believe the two Ambassadors you have mentioned are doing their jobs? There is no doubt that Zambia’s trade now is closely linked to S.Africa that we need continuous dialogue to keep things moving well and politically, S.Africa as chair of SADC needs to consult with countries in region especially Zambia at this point in time when there is a crisis to resolve in neighboring DRC. Mwikwita just brought in potential investors in the railways sector and if that is not work, then what she he be doing? There are some Ambassadors and High Commissioners that we never even hear about!! Leave the guys to do their job and when their time is up they return and others will pick it up from there!

    • Zuma is coming to teach someone how to do business with the Guptas…we can not have small time crooks like the Findlays and the like…..

  1. He represents the President and Zambia outside the country, how else do you want to be. He is not acting but he is the face of the President and Zambia. The most hardworking Ambassador. Let’s not be allergic and threatened by such individuals otherwise you will be organizing a demonstration and file a petition against him very soon.

  2. Zuma was recently in Zambia to open the Agricultural Show. Now he is coming to Zambia in his capacity as the New Chairman of SADC. More Pressures on Jonathan Lungu. Following the Petition Hearing in Kenya SADC thru Zuma will push for the Hearing of the Petition in Zambia to resolve the Political Crisis. So its now Pressure from Commonwealth,SADC, AU etc. To gain recognition from HH,UPND,Commonwealth,SADC,AU etc Lungu needs a Declaration from a Zambian Electoral Court that he won the 2016 Election and be declared the Legitimate President of Zambia. He can only get this if the Petition is heard and determined in Court.Foreign Observer’s Validation of Elections has been declared Irrelevant in Kenya.#Let the Petition be heard in Court. Period.

    • @4 Mwape, WHO will be pushing for the DEAD PETITION one year after when government is already talking of CONSTITUTIONAL and ELECTORAL REFORMS as expected and recommended by even those who negotiated for HH’s freedom! Lungu has already done one year, who would want to disrupt the peace and order on a settled matter?PLEASE LOOK 2021 and NOT 2016 Elections!! The latter (2016 elections) is ONLY TO LEARN FROM,IT IS ALREADY IN THE ARCHIVES TO PROVIDE US WITH LESSONS for the future!! Those fixated on the non existent petition should as well be preparing another for 2021 as they may not have adequate time to organize for that election and may refuse the outcome and fail to prove their claims in courts of law. The Kenyan opposition lost the 1st petition in 2013 and learnt lesson on how to do it…

    • If you think Zuma would even table the issue of HH with ECL, then you are a bit delusional and detached from the reality of the politics in SADC. 1-2 weeks ago, Zuma was asked in his/SA parliament why he did not intervene on behalf of HH when he visited Zambia two months ago. HH was in the gallery when this question was asked. Zuma was very clear that it is not SA or policy or indeed the role of any one country to get involved in the political affairs of other sovereign states.

  3. Really laughable…when lazy lungu went to Mfuwe alone thought he was planning to sack incompetent ministers and crooks but alias the bum was drinking, eating game meat and entertaining his concubines!!

  4. As usual PF Bloggers cant get it. Mulandu tauboli. If your stolen car is found 5 years later , its still your car even if its damaged. Lungu abrogated the Zambian Constitution by refusing to resign and handover Power to the Speaker of Parliament during the Petition Hearing. Concourt has confirmed that indeed Lungu breached the Law. That is a Treasonable Act. When Lungu leaves Office and loses his immunity he will be prosecuted for this Treasonable Offence. A crime is prosecutable at any time even after many years!.

  5. WELCOME ZUMA, YOU PUT THE NONSTRATEGIC ZAMBIA OPPOSITION LEADER HH TO HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE BY REMINDING RECENTLY HIM THAT ZAMBIA IS A SOVEREIGN STATE AND SOUTH AFRICA HAS NO RIGHHT TO INTERFERE IN ITS INTERNAL AFFAIRS. HH DOESN’T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING BECAUSE HE IS INADVISABLE, HE DOESNT TAKE ADVICE FROM ANYBODY. SOON ALL THOSE SURROUNDING HIM WILL REALIZE THAT HES WRONG PERSON THEY ARE DEALING WITH. VIVA ZUMA, YOU ARE WELCOME TO THIS PROSPEROUS COUNTRY! ANGOLANS ARE ADMIRING THE MASSIVE DEVELOPMENT IN ZAMBIA, WHICH HH PRETENDS NOT TO SEE.

  6. Zuma is cementing his own cracked reputation in SA. He has thinly survived two or more votes of no confidence. Some of you think he can do anything about Zambia; he is under intense heat in SA and now propping up his former wife’s credentials by soliciting external endorsements (something he recently said was an internal matter). In addition, South African companies have had it tough in Zambia given the Chinese footfold in business. Zuma is being brought in to fight for his people.
