PF Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili was on Tuesday afternoon chased away from Kabushi constituency in Ndola as he attempted to tour the gutted Kapalala Market.
Mr Kambwili who was in the company of National Democratic Congress General Secretary Mwenya Musenge was chased by Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo who rushed to the market when word went round that Mr Kambwili was in the constituency.
Mr Lusambo arrived at Kapalala Market with a horde of supporters comprising mainly youths from the constituency and demanded to have Mr Kambwili and his delegation vacate the area.
Mr Kambwili swiftly left the Market, abandoning his plans of addressing the Marketeers who are still waiting on government to fulfil its promise to reconstruct their gutted market.
And addressing Journalists afterwards, Mr Kambwili described Mr Lusambo as childish.
He said it is unthinkable that as a lawmaker, he could be denied a chance to visit any part of the country.
“Bowman is very childish. He sent those boys to come and beat me up but when they arrived they just said, “boss, we have been sent to beat you but we can’t do it because you are our boss,” and I left peacefully,” Mr Kambwili narrated.
“This kind of politics are unfortunate. I was in Kapalala to meet the poor women whose stalls have been burnt and this government has failed to honour its promise to reconstruct the market. Bowman should be ashamed of himself,” he said.
Mr Kambwili said, “Bowman and Edgar Lungu have been to my constituency and toured all the markets there and no one stopped them. Now they are up in arms when they hear that Kambwili is in their area. Bowman even abandoned where he was officiating at the Independence celebrations and rushed to Kabushi just to come and sort me out, fortunately, we left before any confusion could take place.”
Meanwhile, Mr Lusambo said Kabushi constituency is a no-go area for politicians with useless agendas.
“We know what he wanted to come and do here. He wanted to bring confusion. We are working very well with our people and he comes from nowhere to come and create confusion, that we shall not allow,” Mr Lusambo told his supporters.

Today marks the ‘Rise and Fall of the Zambian kwacha. By the end of next week, the kwacha will tumble, most likely @ 13.5 to a pound. This is all due to GRZ over spending and PF cohorts stealing and lack of direction. PF ministers would rather behave like Lusambo when on break from stealing than work for them Zambian people.
