Movie review : Justice League

Share

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes, it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

PROS

  • Exhilarating actions scenes
  • Great chemistry among the cast.

CONS

  • The plot of the movie was weak and predictable.
  • The movie lacks stakes or any sense of real danger.
  • The villain was not convincing, and had no real reason behind his actions.

FAVORITE QUOTE

Barry Allen (The Flash): What are your superpowers again?

Bruce Wayne (Batman): I’m rich.

Diana Prince (Wonder Woman): People said the Age of Heroes would never come again.

Bruce Wayne (Batman) : It has to. We don’t have any more time!

CONCLUSSION

Justice League was arguable the most highly anticipated movie of the year. The hype surrounding it was immense. Unfortunately Justice League failed to live up to the hype. It had everything you would expect from a blockbuster super hero movie. Action – check, adventure – check, explosions – check, comedy- check, pretty women –check, Muscle bound men – check. But the main ingredient was missing. That is a captivating story. I expected the story line to have more depth than what was presented. There was basically no real reason for all the super heroes to come together as the main villain was not much of a threat and could have been defeated by one or two of them. Previous DC superhero movies; Batman Vs. Superman and Wonder Woman both had great story telling and the characters were put in real jeopardy. In comparison Justice League was a walk in the park for our beloved heroes.

Justice League was not all bad. A great job was done in introducing the new characters. It gave a brief look into their origins but not too much, so as to leave viewers wanting more from the solo projects that are sure to follow. The action scenes were top notch and very exciting.

I expected much more from Justice League, it had the potential to be among the best superhero movies in recent memory, but it fell short.

  1. The line “I’m rich” is the worst line anyone would have put Batman saying because Batman isn’t just a rich arrogant guy and he just wouldn’t have answered such a stupid question.

  2. Waiting for Captain America 4. After watching Suicide Squad and Dawn of Justice and failing to finish both, I will not bother myself with this one.

  3. These depicted heroes are actually fallen angels in reality. Am sure they have ranks and the Satan at the top. They depict God as a villain who wants to wipe out the entire human race while in actual fact is these fallen angels and the devil at the helm who wants destroy mankind. Marvel not for the devil comes as an angel of light. These fallen angels don’t stand a chance against our creator, the greater I AM.
