  1. It had to take cholera to give us a wake up call. Prevention is better than cure, now that we have learnt the hard way can the Govt of the day concentrate on building better markets with proper sanitation and clean water so that our brothers and sisters whose businesses have closed down can be moved as soon as possible and we don’t want to see anyone trading in the streets when we approach 2021 because of votes.

    • Okay, so there was and is a wkake-up call.
      Trouble is, we are sleepy and soon forget that the bell was ringing, and so continue snoring…

  2. This was just a warning. The damage could have been worse. We are too naive and too complacent. We deserve better from our politicians.

    • Sweden is better bcuz of the Swedes ,Zambia is sh*thole bcuz of Zambians….what i’m sayin is you get the politicians who reflect your society.

  3. I didn’t know Cholera had a vaccine… when did they manufacture and produce it so soon to be administered on people? It was there all along, why didn’t they use it to vaccinate potential victims all along. Here is me being suspicious of this vaccine.

    OK removing street vending and demolishing their shops all sound good on paper, all well intended measures. But next question is: so where do these people go to so they can continue with their trading? Do they stop trading and start starving? Are you going to start paying them some social security allowance to compensate for the lost income? These are the questions that need to be asked and answers provided with sober minds. Failure to which, I see a big social problems brewing, perhaps worse than cholera.

    Sh**hole country for sure.

  4. PICTURE NUMBER 7! SURELY, IN THIS DAY AND AGE CAN THAT BE A BUS STATION? ISN’T A PROPER AND MODERN BUS STATION JUST A BASIC SERVICE A GOVERNMENT (ESPECIALLY LOCAL GOVERNMENT) SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE TO THE TRAVELLING MASSES WHO EVEN INCLUDE TOURISTS? I CAN ASSURE THE GOVERNMENT THAT TOURISTS WIIL BE POURING INTO ZIMBABWE, BOTSWANA, NAMIBIA AND SOUTH AFRICA WHO CARE TO PROVIDE MINIMUM STANDARDS OF SERVICE. TOURISM IS NOT A CHARITY. THEREFORE, TOURISTS DON’T COME TO PROVIDE CHARITY TO THE LOCALS. THEIR HOPE IS FOR CLEAN AND PROPER SERVICES WITH MINIMUM STANDARDS.

  5. ZAMBIA HAS BEEN FACING CHOLERA EVERY YEAR FOR 2 DECADES OR MORE. SO, HOW CAN WE FAIL TO PLAN TO ERADICATE CHOLERA FOR TWO DECADES? THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS THE REASON(S) FOR CHOLERA RECCURENCE- IT IS IFIKO MUMA TOWNS AND RESIDENTIAL AREAS. THE ANSWER TO THIS IS PROPER WASTE MANAGEMENT WITH PROPER DRAINAGE SYSTEMS IN CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES. INCLUDING STARTING TO RE-EDUCATE THE CITIZENS ON HEALTH AND SAFETY. IT WOULD ALSO DO TO DESIGN AND INTRODUCE A ‘TOURISM’ SUBJECT STARTING FROM NURSERY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL WHICH TEACHES TO APPRECIATE TOURISM AND HIEGYNE.

  6. We’re co-sponsors of this cholera tragedy cuz we allowed PF to use and manipulate us for political gain. I’ll overlook your shortcomings if you allow me unlawful vending.

  7. Zambia the Real SH!THOLE COUNTRY!! How can you hire kaponyas as general or sub contractors? Trump need to shutdown the Zambian embassy here in DC before they spread the disease here in the US. Go back to your Sh!THOLE country

  8. Tokyo = clean & world class …a true representation of Japanese culture of hard work,law and order.
    Lusaka= filthy & diseased sh*thole = a representation of lazy,corrupt & disorderly culture of Zambians.

  9. Sure kwena, how did PF let the country to this level. Trump is correct. those critizing him need to go to a shi^t ho^le Zambia and see how shi^t^hole the country is.

  10. Sh!thole country for real! Trump was right to call African countries especially Zambia Sh1hole countries.
    Our countries as Africans are also fantastically corrupt – ask former UK PM – Cameron.
    Disaster!
