Minister of Gender Victory Kalima says the Millennium Challenge Account Zambia (MCA-Zambia) is helping in the provision of clean, safe water and alleviating poverty.

Mrs. Kalima has noted that the MCA-Zambia has contributed in improving sanitation services in the country.

She said this when a media team from the MCA-Zambia paid a courtesy on her at her office, today.

The media team wanted to establish the impact the MCA project has had on social inclusion and gender integration.

The Minister told the media team that the provision of clean, safe water and improved sanitation services is key in fighting diseases that are caused by waterborne.

Mrs. Kalima further revealed that the MC-Zambia has helped to reduce the distance women and children are subjected to in a bid to fetch water.

  1. MCA has made a huge impact. Catastrophic flooding in Lusaka despite massive rains was limited to those houses built in ditches and depressions. Water and sewer lines in many places. Only if mindset can change that users should pay something if not everything in using water and sanitation. Vandalising to get free service is retrogressive.

Seems many other water and sanitation infrastructure are being laid across the country. Will lose HAGAIN unless demonstrates how to outdo this. Circus stunts are not a voters agenda.

  2. Lt my coimment was censorship again. Paint the true picture…..Wow tell the the pipo that died from cholera..very insensitive madam.
