Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale has called on youths to take advantage of the country’s peaceful conditions and participate fully in issues of national development.

Dr. Hamukale said there is need for the youth to make themselves available to be used as tools of development in emulating freedom fighters who in their youth age supported the liberation struggle.

He said the struggle by freedom fighters is what led to the peace the country is now enjoying during the Africa Freedom Day celebrations in Choma.

Dr. Hamukale however assured freedom fighters of government’s determination to continue developing the country in appreciation of efforts they put in for the country to attain its independence.

Meanwhile, freedom fighters in have praised government for the continued peace and security Zambian people are enjoying.

Benson Hakoola commended government for various efforts aimed at uniting the nation on behalf of over 20 freedom fighters that attended the African Freedom Day Commemoration in Choma.

Mr. Hakoola said peace in the country is very important because a country in war cannot develop.

He said the African day is a uniting day that all Africans and Zambians in particular must celebrate together without any political segregations.

Mr. Hakoola expressed disappointment that some people have continued to shun such important events on the basis of partisan politics.

    • Do you call this fuul wise? Do you have your own definition of the word wisdom or you don’t really know what it means? The guy is asking youths to become tools of development in a country where the President works day and night to steal every coin that lands in that country. He is literally asking youths to become cadres. If you know how to read and understand the language used, you wouldn’t call this guy wise. You need help, Sir. Your cadre mind clouds your little thinking. If you have headaches thinking, take Tylenol in advance.

  1. What are those two TV remotes doing on that table? Watching TV in office? How and when do these wackos work? He can’t even program one remote to operate both tv and satellite receiver. Look closely, the fuul pinned the flag to the coat hanger for him to look patriotic and more Zambian. Really, really beyond imagination. These are minister? Seriously?
