According to a writ of Summons Nakacinda has sued Akakulubelwa Akakulubelwa trading as Prime TV, Gerald Shawa trading as Prime TV and Kalani Muchima.

Nakacinda is demanding for an apology and damages that the court may deem fit for the mental strain caused by the defendants among other demands.

“Damages for libel and slander for words uttered in an interview on a program called Oxygen of Democracy broadcasted on Prime Television.

Damages for mental strain and anguish arising from the above false, malicious and serious allegations.

Further Nakacinda is demanding for an order of injunction restraining the defendants from publishing the said defamatory words.

Muchima during a paid live television program which he hosts accused Nakacinda of being a convicted criminal.

Dispite Nakacinda’s protestion and saying it was unfair to be grilled on a matter which he was not informed about before coming to the programme.
Nakachinda, further explained to Muchima that he was acquitted upon appeal in the matter.

But Kalan insisted on his line of questioning and outrightly called Nakacinda a thief.

  1. Kalani needs to go to school and learn one or two things about interviewing. He has some good gifts like courage and tenacity. But he needs to be taught how to use those.

  2. This Kalani guy is simply a pathetic ignorant unethical journalist, in other words bigot which is simply the copulation of ignorance with stupidity to show that he is an aggressive and wannabe hardcore journalist blind imitating the likes of Stephen Sackur of BBC hard talk, Isha Isatu Sesay of CNN, and Shaka Ssali on VOA.That chaps needs some basic skills in ethical journalism. He lacks cognitive ability hence he cannot realize how stupid he is stupid and that is the reason he displays cognitive bias with some alleged UPND caderism .Jerk of a journalist.Azamuziba yesu coz he thinks being on a free Proflight flight with HH then he has made it in life.Kwwfye…

    • You are too personal in your reply. The best was for u to give balanced advice. He is new yes and he is learning like many of us have to learn even by mistake. But for u to come out so strong with words even using words like stupidity is unethical.
Be a good citizen, offer advice where required n look for the good in everyone.

  3. Nakachiinda took himself to Prime TV and he knew that like the BBC Hard Talk, Oxygen of demo asks very direct and sometimes embarrassing questions. one should be psychologically prepared otherwise keep a distance.

    • Yes yes We only hope our Mr lungu will learn something about being slandered and sue those calling him a corrupt theif…

    • Newbie

How can I be pleading fifhs when my people are looking up to a potraite of Mr lungu who is being slandered as a corrupt theif while others sue for any such uttering ??

  4. Prime TV is the best in Zambia. I like it because it covers every political party activities in Zambia. They have excellent reporters. Keep it up you are like BBC, Aljazeera and CNN who report realities.

    • But it’s full of untruths. Two months ago on its 19 hrs news it reported that 108 teachers of the Tonga tribe had been retired in national interest and all of them were from Kabulonga Boys. How can you have so many teachers from one tribe at one school? I leave it there for you to think about it.

  5. I knew that this will happen. I watched that interview with great concern. For me I blame management of Prime TV. It looks like they don’t have ethical standards otherwise this guy could have been removed from this program long time ago if not fired. He called him a thief.

  6. Nakachinda is N
    Kalani is K
N: Do you know the implication of calling me a thief?
    K: yes
    K: you are a thief
N; you call me a thief again?
    N: I will die you
K: Go ahead I’m ready for you
Kalani really was shocking. Very unethical. Now that it has gone to the court let’s wait and see the Kalani drama.
