HH smiles during the handover of Nchole community school in Namwala

Opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema today handed over a community school he constructed in Namwala.

Mr Hichilema handed over Nchole community school which caters for Grades One to Seven pupils.

The hand over of the school was witnessed by During the hand over by party National Chairperson, Mrs Mutale Nalumango, Chiefs Mukobela and Mungaila and the entire community.

Mr Hichilema stated that education is the best equaliser and that we value it.

“We have today commissioned and handed over a community school we built in Namwala District of Southern Zambia to the Government. The school is currently accommodating children from Grades one (1) to Seven (7). Nchole community school project is among the several other infrastructures we are putting up in our country,” Mr Hichilema said.

He said so far, the school has five government teachers and three community teachers.

      Not AVIC project.. Ba Edgar should have attended this important project built by Zambian for Zambians.

    • I doubt it if they will even send teachers there. On this one they are just short of telling local kids not to enrol at the school so that it becomes a white elephant. But if the school had been built by say , Bill Gates, perhaps the entire cabinet would have been there.

    • I know HH personally and not because of politics. He has been donating to social causes even before he joined politics. You cannot know that because when he was outside politics what he did was not of interest to the media.

  7. ECL also has a tarvern in Chawama. If it wasn’t for that tarvern, young people would be moving around aimlessly. At least they can reminisce the good old days in Primary school as they share a brew 🙂

    • We have enough schools in Ndola rural, let him help the needy. Let him use his money the way he feels fit. Lungu chose to build a house in Swaziland, Kambwili built chalets in Luanshya for the holidaymakers,while others have chosen to spend their riches on women.

HH has donated a school from his own hard earned cash while your thieving politicians are building mansions in foreign countries. Let us see Lungu do the same in Petauke with his ill gotten wealth. Charity begins at home…next he will do something fro the suffering kids in Muchinga and Petauke. Thanks HH for your humanity. You could have easily oponed a shop in Dubai selling belts but you thought of the poor kids in Namwala. By the way HH is not from Namwala as some of these ungrateful *****s are suggesting here.

    • in clear understanding the hatred between govt and hh do you think govt official will accept to attend the function. it not the first time there is also a health center in namwala govt has refused to open and send staffs built by hh. there is history to some of this situation politics of hatred at play.

  21. When World Vision is handing over a competed project to government, government officials are invited as guest honours who explain how the projects were contributing to policies; implementation. To whom did HH handle over the school? He builds and he invites himself as guest of honour. How?

  29. Looking closely at h.h’s face and all its features, I see more reasons why he is not president of Zambia and never will be. The man is just forcing himself as a politician, he is not political material. On top of that, the only reason that he is leader of upnd is that his tribesmates want their tribe in state house. Now in Zambia that does not get you anywhere near power because the majority loathe it, or just fear it the way they fear wizards, or death.     • Why should HH build in Chama when ECL government is already busy building there? It is not building for building’s sake but where most needed.   39. HH has done the right thing and I thank him on behalf of the many thousands of kids that will benefit from this school now and beyond. Being a politician also means that whatever he does has a political flavour to it nothing wrong in that either. Building in Namwala gives HH’s political competitors ammunition that he is a tribalists and therefore built for his people but I am just thinking for a second what would have happened had he built on the eastern province or Luapula? I think we would have screamed even louder that he is only campaigning and some would even have quoted bible verses as to why you can claim to love somebody else and ignore your own. Let HH build in Namwala where he has ranches as I understand it, its Social Cooperate Responsibility (SCR)and am sure when he next does it somewhere else, no one will say but but but there are places in Southern province where he comes from where he has not built. Next let’s see Chipimo, Kambwili, Nawakwi, Peter and the rest do something to demonstrate that politics is not all about power but service to the people.

What i mean is that those who will learn from the school they shall work in different professionals within and out of the country. Also who shall be student there would not subjected to people from southern region. So for me those who are politicing it that it is for his relatives i do not agree with them the school belongs to all of us as Zambians. As it is in our country when you check around there so many Bembas. Tonga, Lundas, Tumbukas just to mention a few their children are all over the country not in their original Provinces where they are learning from so for a reasonable person to say he has built for his relatives is…………..i feel as Zambians we should salute…
