Newly signed Power Dynamos striker Elvis Baranga Ruphia says he can outshine his Kenyan compatriot Jesse Were of Zesco United as he play in Zambia.
Power unveiled Ruphia last Sunday after joining them on a two-year deal from Kenya club Nzoia Sugar.
He has left the Kenyan Premier League after scoring 15 goals in the current season.
“The fans should expect me to score goals but in everything it is God first. I am targeting to score 14 to 15 goals,” Ruphia said.
On the possibility of facing pressure to emulate Zesco star Were, Ruphia said:”I am not scared of him (Were). I know myself I can score more than him.”
Ruphia has joined Power together with Zimbabwe international defender Jimmy Dzingai.
Dzingai is promising to add value to the Power backline after moving to Kitwe from Zimbabwean side Yadah Stars.
“I feel great to join such a club. I feel happy to be in Zimbabwe, I feel like I am in Zimbabwe. I am going to do my best. I am promising to deliver better things,” he said.
