A 68 year old mother stabbed by her son

A 68 year old woman of Katuta Kampemba’s chiefdom in Mwense district of Luapula province is battling for her life at Mansa General Hospital after she was stabbed by her son.

Luapula Province Police Commissioner Elias Chushi confirmed the development to ZANIS in an interview this morning.

Mr. Chushi said the incident occurred on September 10, 2018 around 08:30 hours.

The Police Commissioner narrated that John Bupe, 21, stabbed his mother, Jennifer Mambwe was stabbed three times using a knife.

She sustained deep cuts on the stomach, left shoulder and left ribs.

Reasons for the act are not yet known, but the suspect has since been arrested and is waiting to appear in court soon.

    Secondly, why politicize a sombre incident?
