Government will this month resume the remaining works under the 650 health post project in areas were the construction has not been completed.
About 275 of the 650 health posts have been completed handed over to the Ministry of Health and were fully functional.
Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Administration Kennedy Malama says that government will ensure that within the period of 18 months all the 650 health post will be functional across the country.
“ Government is committed to improving infrastructure in the health sector by not only rehabilitating and building new health facilities but also upgrading some of the existing ones, “ he said.
Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, Matero, Chawama, Chipata and Chilenje level one hospitals are among the facilities which have been upgraded in Lusaka district.
He explained that government is working hard to improving the service delivery through promoting good health and the provision of quality health care to the people.
Dr Malama indicated that government has prioritized infrastructure development, equipment and transport provision in order to improve quality health services in the country.

If you drop a frog suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if you put that same frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water gradually, it will adjust its body temperature accordingly until it reaches a stage beyond its capacity and dies f o o l i s h l y.
Its amazing how you condemn borrowing when the whole developed world is now developed purely based on borrowing, some countries like Japan at one time were indebted up to 120% of their GDP, USA is perpertully over indebted and yet you aspire to develop like them. Debt does not equal to Underdevelopment.
