2018 Investment Forum and Expo in Central Province budget boosted further

A construction firm called Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Company has donated K50, 000 towards the successful hosting of the 2018 Investment Forum and Expo in Central Province.

Central Province Minister, Sydney Mushanga, received the donation in two K 25, 000 checks on behalf of the provincial administration, today.

And Mr Mushanga has thanked all the companies that have contributed towards the hosting of a successful Expo.

Mr Mushanga has revealed that so far a total of K140, 000 has been raised from AFECC, SAFFECKS Investment of Kitwe and two other companies, he did not name.

He however said the monies acquired for the event is way below the required budget of K8 million and thus appealed for more donations from corporate entities to make the historical event successful.

He however described the donations that have come through so far as a demonstration of sound relationship between the Central Province Administration and the private sector.

Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Company is the company engaged to construct multi-million kwacha Mwomboshi Dam in Chisamba District.

Meanwhile, AFECC vice president, Kan Jiatao, said the donation is a symbol of appreciation to the government, the provincial administration and the Zambian people for the support rendered to the construction company.

Mr Jiatao who is also the contract manager for the Mwomboshi Dam Project said construction works will be completed eight months ahead of schedule because of the valuable support from government and the local people.

The Central Province Investment Forum and Expo will be held from 8 to 13 October 2018 at Mulungushi University Main Campus under the theme, `Accelerating Investment for Inclusive and Sustainable Development`·
