ZSIC- Life Company has donated 40 bed sheets to the female Ward at Lewanika General Hospital in Mongu District, in Western Province.
Speaking when handing-over the donated items today, ZSIC -Life Regional Manager Arnold Mbangu said his Corporation decided to donate the linen to the health institution as part of its celebration of 50 years in the insurance business.
And witnessing the donation, Mongu District Commissioner Susiku Kamona ZSIC commended the company for the gesture.
Mr. Kamona has appealed to other companies to emulate ZSIC and plough back into the community.
And Lewanika General Hospital Nursing Officer, Prisca Mwikisa said the donation will go a long helping the hospital to care for the patients in the female ward.
Sr. Mwikisa also thanked ZSIC for the donation and promised to take care of them.
The Corporation earlier on painted the female ward in order to provide a conducive environment for workers and patients at the general hospital.
ZSIC has recently undergone a number of transformation to meet the growing demands in the Insurance Sector.
