Midfielder Enock Mwepu says Chipolopolo are ready for Guinea Bissau in Wednesday’s 2019 AFCON Group K qualifier at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Mwepu said the three points rather than the history between the two sides was more important as Chipolopolo seek their first win in the Group K qualifiers.

This will be Zambia and Guinea Bissau’s third meeting after the latter drew 0-0 away in Ndola and won 3-2 in Bissau to subsequently qualify to the 2017 AFCON and eliminate Chipolopolo from the race two years ago.

“I think as a team, we are really ready for the game,” Mwepu said.

“We are in a good mood, and everything is going fine so far.

“We expect a tough game but of course Zambia is a good team also.

“We won’t give up until the final whistle and we aim to win the game and it will be a good game to watch.”

And coach Sven Vandenbroeck says his team is injury free and ready for the match.

Chipolopolo are bottom of Group K on 1 point, tied with Namibia, after two games played while Guinea Bissau are level at the top on 4 points with Mozambique heading into match day three of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Guinea Bissau will host Zambia this Sunday in their final leg Group K meeting in Bissau.

  1. A win would be a great result but first give us the starting line up… Welcome back home sons. We are expecting too much from you. The positive energy from the coach is most welcome. Don’t lose possession unnecessarily and at the front precision will do. Ba Kalaba I have no faith in you in the national team but many believe in your. Prove me wrong. We have a solid back line mistakes from bene Sunzu cost games. Its not good to defend 6 and let 4 through. We expecting too much. Fashion, pass the ball when you not in good position. Wish you the best. HH go and watch the game of course in the stands. One Zambia

    • Anything to do with Kalaba, Sinkala Fashion or Sunzu will spell doom for Chipolopolo. We have enough fire power in the new young and fresh boys that have a serious attitude towards work like Shonga, Mwepu, Daka, Lubambo, Collins(of Green Eagles), Mulenga, Ernest Mbewe, Kambole. That’s the positive energy we need. And what happened to Ziyo Tembo in Defence?

    • I am sure and hope right Zambia will make us Proud , under normal condition , Guinea Bissau is nothing to the current Chipolopolo , please no more Bolla Na lesa, 2 zero for Zambia

    • One Zambian , Sunzu may have cost us so many games, but us of now , he has no really center Back partner with him , (2012) he misses that guy , you said H.H as Hichani Himoonde , Iam not talking about politics right now

  2. The Chipolopolo must keep possession and win balls back in mid field. All the best and hope for a positive start and a 3-0 win

  3. If you want to win tomorrow follow this lineup 1, kenned mweene, 2 any defender but not Solomon, 3 kapumbu , 4 kabaso Chongo, 5 sunzu 6,sinkala, 7 lubambo, 8 mwepu, 9 Dakar, 10 shonga,11kalaba, on bench fashion sakala to replace lubambo musonda in second half, you will tell me

  4. Or let it be like this , 1 mweene, 2 shamunjomba, 3 kapumbu, 4 kabaso, 5 sunzu, 6 sinkala, 7 fashion, 8 mwepu, 9 Dakar, 10 things, 11 kalaba. On the bench kambole and lubambo, I wish mbola was there to play number 2, coach why did you leave mbola, he is a good defender

  6. I am sure and hope right Zambia will make us Proud , under normal condition , Guinea Bissau is nothing to the current Chipolopolo , please no more Bolla Na lesa, 2 zero for Zambia
