Dairy Association of Zambia gets $2 million from Swedish Government

Share

The Swedish government has given the Dairy Association of Zambia (DAZ) US $2 Million for the implementation of the Digital Information Management System (DIMS).

The funds are meant to help the growth of the value milk chain especially small scale farmers’ access to goods and services.

Speaking when he briefed the media in Lusaka today, DAZ Executive Director Jeremiah Kasalo said the programme will be piloted for a period of two years.

Mr. Kasalo said depending on the outcome the programme, it will upscale to a wider area and probably longer period of time.

He stated that currently the programme is being implemented to 30 out of 67 zones of milk collection centers across the country.

Mr. Kasalo said the current consumption is 36 liters per person per year which culminates into 500 liters per person per year.

He said there is need to create about 200 milk collection centres on top of the already existing 74 milk collection centres.

Is it a case of posting on a wrong page?Which thing are you talking about? With the calibre of your leaders one would think if a story is apolitical you would wisen up and not remind people about PF,and yet you do the opposite. When one reflects seriously you are the people PF deserves, cheering on the driver as he drives you off the cliff…

    • Sharon doesn’t realize that what she does on this site is equivalent to spamming. Because her comments mostly have nothing to do with the article at hand. Some of us don’t care about UPND or HH. But she keeps talking about them over and over again—like a maniac. She’s one sick puppy. On the other hand, hope Sweden monitors this donation to make sure it reaches the intended target. Otherwise it’ll end up in someone’s large corrupt pockets.

    • Keep it in ZANACO bank. Use it for Roan Parliamentarian fight. Then accuse Mulenga Kampamba of something, fire her, then send the same $2 million back to Sweden.

    • When we say social media stories are fake this is what we mean. Its not long ago when a fake report about Sweden withdrawing aid from zambia and today another fake story has popped out. Good luck for you who trusts in these fake articles.

  1. These donors do not learn any lessons. Please donors be on the ground to supervise usage of your money. Very soon you will be crying about money being stolen.

  2. Donor fatigue hasn’t set in yet? Thanks Sverige but Zambia needs to get off this unhealthy donor dependency its injurious to the recipient in the end.

  3. More money for some P.F Cadre, to pocket, & say “Nachitolafye” when found out.
Unless the Swede’s supervise this cash, ba K0lwe’ will pocket it!

  4. Good news.
I will visit my local DAO to find out more because in the whole of copperbelt, i do not know where DAZ offices are.

  5. What is the meaning of this “Mr. Kasalo said the current consumption is 36 liters per person per year which culminates into 500 liters per person per year.”? I am confused, someone to help me
    .

    • @14 Vubwi,me too, this type of writing is very confusing and distorts the gist of the story and leaves a reader in wonder land…
