An eleven-year old girl of Livingstone who was repeatedly defiled by her biological father at the age of four and infected with HIV has urged parents to be open about their children’s status early in life.
Giving a testimony during the World AIDS Day Eve candlelight service, the teary young girl told the congregation that her status was kept a secret from her and she only discovered when she went for voluntary counselling and testing on her own.
She said discovering her status earlier this year has been difficulty for her to accept.
And Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale has urged the Ministry of Health and partners in the fight against HIV to also target the clergy in HIV messages.
Dr Hamukale said this earlier when Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Jabbin Mulwanda paid a courtesy call on him in Livingstone.
He said some clergy are sexually abusive Church members in the pretext of exorcising demons.
Dr Hamukale noted that the clergy must be targeted because some are shy to access treatment services for fear of what people will say.
And Dr Mulwanda said there is need for stakeholders in the fight against HIV and AIDS not to be complacent but put all resources together to complete the fight.
Yes these fake pastors are a menace to society. Ban them and arrest those that are in the habit of abusing female church members, they also amass wealth at the expense of their congregants which is contrary to what Jesus in the bible said. If you read what Jesus said in the bible you will note he always condemned the pursuit of wealth over the love of God. “You cannot serve 2 masters”, is what Jesus said, this has however become what so called clergy men such as Imakando preach. This Bread of life to them is money rather than Jesus and his message.

These foolish fake pastors make so much noise on those buses even as they move, I mean is it even legal for them to be doing this? They can even cause a driver to have an accident by losing concentration from the noise they make and when you don’t sing or clap to their nonsense they start looking at you as if you are their worst enemy. As a Jehova witness why should I sing to their rubbish? The dull cretins I will one day exercise my right to perform a citizens arrest on these thieves..
