Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people has praised government for making strides towards increasing access to quality health services especially in rural areas.

Chief Chitimukulu said the on-going construction of new health facilities and upgrading of existing ones is commendable as this will enable people to receive better medical treatment.

He said the move signifies government’s commitment to taking health care services closer to the communities.

The Mwinelubemba said this when Minister of Health, Chitalu Chilufya paid a courtesy call on him yesterday.

He noted that the upgrading of Kayambi Mission Health Centre in Mungwi district to a first level hospital will allow people to access advanced medical services within their locality and reduce on the number of referral cases.

And the Paramount Chief has called on government to speed up the construction of the Nseluka- Kayambi road.

And Dr. Chilufya said government remains resolute in ensuring that the country’s primary health care system is strengthened.

He said the Ministry of Health will continue to increase infrastructure and recruitment of staff in the health sector.

  1. Without shame, fake chief Sosala wears sports medals for swimming on his jacket as a symbol of authority and being a chief!!
Where is Michael Sata to sort out and teach this kama talkative chief manners? We need Real Chiefs like Mukuni!!

    • I agree this ka thing is too talkative for nothing,as umu bemba nkonko i regret feeling sorry for him when late Satan put him in his place…

  2. But please tell your subjects not be stealing the equipment from these new hospitals as we all know 6 out of 10 of your subjects are all thieves.

  3. I lke the chief for being specific on what he is praising the government. It makes the government more accountable for development projects aimed at benefiting citizens.

  4. Comment:This sounds so great, let the government put more effort in all ministries to satisfy all citizens of this country, as one Zambian one, every individual has the right to good health and all the services that are needed to be provided to him or her because in so doing we expect the life expectance rate to be good as well.

  5. I feel it is the duty of the government to bring development to these areas so there’s no need to sing praises to them. After all that’s why the people voted them and it’s taxpayers money being used.
