Over 56 workers at Revin Zambia, the company that produces Power SX Energy drink have been sent on circumstantial leave following the suspension of production and distribution of the product.
The Ndola City Council, the Zambia Bureau of Standards and the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority have halted the production and distribution of Power SX Energy drink following a complaint from a Ugandan national who reportedly suffered a six-hour erection after consuming the commodity.
Revin Zambia Managing Director Vikas Kapoor said in an interview that the Ndola based plant has been left with no option but to send its over 56 workers on leave because of a lack of activity at the plant.
Mr Kapoor said the circumstantial leave will only be reviewed if the suspension on the product is lifted.
He said Revin Zambia has been losing between 500,00 to 800,000 in revenues daily since the story broke out.
Mr Kapoor also revealed that his firm has not yet heard from the three regulatory institutions on the way forward regarding the tests they said they were conducting on the product.
He said running the plant has become economically unsustainable for the firm hence the decision to send workers on leave.
Again the incompetence of Zambian authorities exposed…I bet some company is copying the same product.
Rebrand or take your investment where it is needed. 6hr long erection after taking sips of some drink sounds abnormal. 3hr long erection after drinking water is normal.

One fun thing with our infestors ( investors) is that they only talk about thier loss of business when they are on the other side of the law. i bet they wouldn’t give that information of 500,000 per month sale wen negotiating for salaries with employees. They will always talk abt less sales.

Next please suspend the production of the so called (junta) country wide which makes the youths mad whenever they take the same. And it looks like whoever comes into our country and employs a number of people thinks that’s a passport to doing whatever they can. A wrong is a wrong weather you employ the entire nation. Please keep up the fight and the nation shall be saved from bad employers who coming in the name of creating employment, when in the actual sense they doing more harm than good.
