Coach Beston Chambeshi says Nkana are ready to tackle Zesco United, Ghanaians Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal of Sudan in the group stage of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup.

Nkana were on Monday paired against Zesco, Kotoko and Hilal in Group C.

Kalampa opens the group stage campaign against Zesco on February 3 in Ndola.

“It is a fair draw. We expected these draws to come out,” Chambeshi reacted from Ivory Coast -a day after eliminating San Pedro 3-0 on aggregate.

“We went in the group stage to meet any team. We cannot run away from any team,” he said.

Chambeshi is relishing the match against Hilal – a team that parades ex-Nkana striker Idris Mbombo.

“Mbombo is like our player. We know him, he is a good player. It will be nice to face him again,” he said.

Nkana are in the Confederation Cup after being ejected from the Champions League by Simba SC of Tanzania at the pre-group stage last month.
