Prince Mongosuthu Buthelezi of the Zulu Kingdom of Kwazulu-Natal South Africa will grace this year’s N’cwala Ceremony of the Ngoni people of Eastern province.

This follows an invitation by the Nc’wala Organising Committee.

Prince Buthelezi who is from the Zulu Royal Establishment expressed gratitude to Paramount Chief Mpenzeni for inviting him to be the guest of Honour at this year’s N’cwala ceremony to be held on the 23rd of February.

In a letter addressed to the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria South Africa Prince Buthelezi confirmed his participation in the ceremony.

The prince says he will also pay a courtesy call on his President Edgar Lungu and Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji before proceeding to Chipata for the ceremony

The Prince becomes the First official from the Zulu Royal Family to grace the ceremony in recent years.

And Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has hailed the deepening cultural ties between Zambia and South Africa.

Mr. Mwamba says the Ngoni speaking people of Zambia and the Zulus of South Africa have a lot in common due to the fact that they share the same ancestral origins.

He noted that there is need to enhance and preserve the cultural ties the two countries have enjoyed over the years.

This is contained in a statement issued to the Media by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations Naomi Nyawali.

  1. I remember how the ANC supporters and the Inkatha Freedom Party members used to maim and kill each other in those years. It is good this man stopped politics. It greatly helped save lives

    • Why call him PRINCE??? Am surprised you didn’t include DR DR bra bra…
We all know him, the no nonsense man. Just say Buthelezi is coming.

    • Please let him also visit the grave of his son ZWANGENDABA in Kasama. I was pleasantly surprised this first leader of the Ngoni people is burried in Kasama. HIS GRAVE is still unmarked but is now a national Heritage. Iwonder how many of these Mbuyas know about this.

    • This is a very poorly informed opinion, Chief, Dr. Buthelezi did not leave politics and is one of SADEC ‘d trained minds….ask Mandela….

  2. This king has his hands dripping blood of black South Africans he was paid to kill by the dozens by the boers ………the boers tried to stop the ANC by using this killer as a paid assassin…..

  3. Please leave him alone. Let him come and enjoy the ceremony. Your chiefs can also invite people from outside Zambia whom they share a history with.

  4. @1.3 History. Maybe we should move Zwangedaba from Kasama to Chipata his true founded province than leave him out there away from his fellow ancestors.

Gutsy guy taking on Shaka Zulu like he did.
